Awesome!!! Are you running wheel spacers too?
Any pics directly from the front or rear?
Bfgs suck. literally, I hate them and I want them to be shot down by the Taliban over the Bermuda triangle never to be seen again. LmfaoI am finally getting some real tires on the 4Runner after putting 5100's all around as well as a poly coil spacers on the rear. So I have a total lift of 2.5 in the front and about 1.5 in the rear.
I am debating between the following two tires:
Toyo Open Country AT II
BFG KO2
I have heard good things about both, and the shop recommends the Toyos. But I see that a lot of you have the BFGs. Anyone want to weigh in on this?

Ya Tom's of people sing their praises, and I do believe they are great in desert situations. Personally I found them lacking in everything except noise, they were very quiet. Northern Michigan is mostly sand, some mud, forest trails everywhere, and tons of snow and ice. I couldn't get traction in anything but dry pavement. Sand, would spin but not sink. Just sit there spinning like I was on ice. Mud. Not made for it and worthless. Snow? Ice? I pulled them off after the second day and put my stock sized Hankook dynapro ATM back on for 2 weeks until I got my new 35" Hankook dynapro MT's which have been better in literally every driving situation I've found. Snow, ice, sand, mud, hills, tree roots, pavement. *not much in way of rock climbing around here* bfgs are rock hard too.Care to elaborate? I've heard lots of good things about them.

Have no experience with Toyo, but if you want an all terrain Hankook dynapro ATM were great in everything too. I even went mudding in them! Lol. Long life, I have 45k on my MT's and I still have 12/32 put of 19/32 tread. I drive like a racecar driver too! :-D
My experience with bfg is something I hear more and more of now. They built up a great reputation, and I hear the new KO2 is a much better tire than the original, but I'll never pay for those overpriced failures again.
They have been around forever. People know the name. They started the desert scene as well as Mickey Thompson. They just didn't grow after that in my opinion. Thanks for elaborating. I would like a tire that has a long life span. From what I have read that is a strong point for the Toyos. I have also heard the BFGs very in size and sometimes wear down quickly. But majority of the 4runners on here have them. Why are they so popular? Is it looks? They do look really good.
Looks Good!
Do you have a build thread?
Where did you get the tire carrier?
What happened to the roof rack?

Nah, no build thread even though I have documented and taken photos of every little thing I have done to my rig, endless amounts of info all in a timeline form but just haven't ever really cared to do a build thread. Plus it would take me a very long time lol.
The tire carrier is a Wilco "tiregate" which also has all the extra attachments they make for it that I got with it, all still new in the boxes I haven't used. I scored this brand new from a gut that had it sitting in his garage and only used twice for $300 bucks which he bought all new and paid total $1200 bucks... tire carrier $800 and hi lift mount $100 license plate relo Kit $100 and gas can mounts $150.
But yeah I have modded it some already, painted it, added some mounts, and still have a couple more big mods planned for it before it's done . It will be badass then. Yeah many people have been asking me about it even out driving around town.
Lol, I'm to big now ..,the rack I still have I slide it onto my 3rd gen when I'm not using out on trips and running trails ...this has become my new system for it since I can't fit in my garage anymore if it's on my 4th gen ...lol. But yeah I'm gonna be modifying it to attach to the roof and removing the oem rack to do so. Then tieing it into the tire carrier with building a ladder that attaches to both the rack /tire carrier. Just need to pick up a new welder to finish all these last few things. Then build some skids and I'm good.
Oh and waiting on my all pro 3.5" lift rear springs and Fox 2.0's to show up to instal, those as well cause of the added weight a having saggin ass I'm 41.5" in the front from floor to wheel well and 38.5" in the rear..lol
Thanx brotha
