Any rubbing with the 285/70? Did you body mount chop? Im interested in getting the same size but want to make sure its going to work.

Sorry for the late reply, long day at work. I have done some trimming inside the wheel well but I haven't done the body mount chop. I will in the near future but right now I'm not rubbing bad and if I do it's minor very minor. I had a 2004 4runner with 285/70/17 nitto grappler MT and didn't have the chop done. I'm loving these Mickey though and the fit.

Begs the question if 285/75 might be worth a shot. Body mount chop is a pretty easy mod.

If you have it lifted go for it! Relentless has those sweet body mount chop plates

But you did the the Body lift? I was thinking about the body lift myself, I just am kinda bummed that addicted offroad bumpers do not accommodate the body lifts. I was planning on getting one this year. Any rock sliders or bumpers will have to be compatible.

Just found this thread. He has a 1" body lift on his addicted front bumper. Doesn't look bad once he spray painted black between the fenders and the bumper on the parking garage pic.

How do these CV angles look after (by my measurements) a 2.75" lift on both sides? They seem fine to me, but wanted to check.

That's what trimming is for! Power tools are fun!

285/70R17, from the manufacturers, are usually listed as exactly 33". Get whatever size you want, trimming is the easy part, they will all require the same amount more or less.

thank you! I ordered 275/70/18 KO2s today from discount. getting them installed on Thursday. I already removed the mud flaps and pushed fender forward. I have some wiggle room so hopefully they don't rub.

New to me 05 Limited 4x4 V8 with 175k. Just installed 5100's at 2.5" front with Daystar 1.5 in back. Rides amazing. Tires are BFG KO2's 34x10.50-17's. No wheel spacers, zero rubbing, zero trimming. I'm very pleased with it so far.

Nice looking, but somehow the 34inch doesn't look that big in this picture, stock UCA? If yes, then is there rubbing on UCA when fully locked?

If you look at the specs on this tire, I think you will find that it is awfully close to a 285/70/17. Its closer to 33" than 34".

It measures 33.5 on the spec sheet for BFG. I wanted tall and skinny and didn't want a mud tire. This fit the bill. I had some very minor UCA rubbing on the driver side at full lock but it's not rubbing now that I had an alignment this morning. It will rub if flexed but this is a highway queen so I'm not worried about it. Yes, stock UCA's.

2005 Limited V8 w/ 181k miles. Front, Bilstein 6112 set to 2.5" (positions 5 and 3). Rear, Bilstein 5160 with Wheelers T12 1.5" springs. 265/70/17s almost used up. Will be buying new tires within a year.

I am looking at that exact kit for my '08, and I have a couple questions for you:

1. I have never messed with lifts or suspension before, but I've heard the closer you get to 3 inches you can run into drivetrain, steering, etc. problems. Was any of this an issue with this kit?

2. I put ALOT of road miles on my 'runner, and am curious how the 885's up front ride on the road compared to the 884's? I saw in the description of the kit the 884's were suitable for stock weight, so just curious how the mediums feel.

I can answer this one. nope. I replaced UCA for better alignment but everything else is un-touched/phased.

most everyone on here has 16-17" rims. for those of us with the 18's here is a close up view of 275/70/18 (33.2") KO2s on a 2008. OME 3" and wheel spacers. so far I have not experienced any rubbing issues.
