Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

What size tire did you go with?

The front of my 2008 Sport sits almost 3" lower in the front then in the rear. I'd be happy with 1"-2" of lift to help level it out.

My tire is 265/70/17. The type of tire makes a difference too. These Wildpeaks are beefy.

I would try and determine if your front is lower than stock. Most 4th gens start losing height in the front after 100-120k mi. Mine was pretty low at 170k. Here's a photo of it stock just before doing my lift and tires. My stock rear sits really high due to new shocks and probably because there's zero evidence it was ever used to tow anything.

The 885 and the 887 both had the same spring rate but the 887 is a smidge taller. i got less of a lift with the 887s than I did with the 886s. Go check my post history to see my issue with the 886. Id steer clear from them.
Thanks for the info. I’m definitely not looking to do something that tall yet ha.

Got some decent pics yesterday showing the fitment of Sequoia wheels (no spacers) and 285/70R17 KM2s

1.) Do you mind me asking how much you paid for the wheels? Found some in my area in near perfect condition and guy has them listed for $450.

2.) Could I fit these with stock tire size with no UCA's?

I saw your other post about how they rub your current ones. Do you think that's due to the 285 tire size? I'll be running 255 or 265.

Debating on pulling the trigger on those wheels or holding out for scs F5's.

Thanks in advance.

I ended up paying $260 shipped for all 4 from eBay (and then like $60 shipped for the spare a few weeks later). They weren't in amazing condition, but I was planning to clean up/plastidip them anyways so that didn't really matter.

They'll definitely fit with stock tires/no UCA. I'm fairly certain my issue is being cause by how the alignment shop set my UCAs. And even then it only happens when I'm going around a corner pretty hard. They're offset 15mm further out than any stock wheels, so should be perfectly fine.

Awesome sauce. Thanks a million

Got a set of Kenda Klever RT in 285 70 17’s... I like they way they look so hopefully they perform just as good too!

It's the Toytec Ultimate lift with Light Racing UCA's and 275/70/18 BFG KO2's.

Did you do anything aside from moving the fender liner forward to fit the 275 70 18? I currently have 255 70 18 and wanting to move to the 275 70 when these tires are done. Would like to make the necessary mods before getting the tires so I don't have to deal with rubbing!

Wheelers..

The list below doesn't include 887s but just looking at the trend from 883s-886s tells the story on what you can expect.

They like every other after market provider claim 2" from showroom ride height or when the vehicle was new. So it doesnt account for any wear of the coils and/or shocks over time that would decrease the ride height.

After all is said and done...

Front: OME 883 (+1/4 top spacer on driver)
Rear: Stock + 1" spacer (1/2" pass and 1" driver)
Bilstein 5100 all around

Hub to fender numbers:
Front: 21.25"
Rear: 22.5"

Running 275/70R17 BFG AT

As far as rubbing, only thing I did was push the front fender liner forward a bit. Alignment in spec with stock UCAs.

Looks great - what rear spacers did you end up using? Hard to find anything other then the 1.5" kit.

You can custom order any size spacer from him too if you want. More expensive that a poly spacer but will last longer.

I would like to find some new coils for the rear, but cant find any that give a true 1" lift in the rear. Something with a little higher spring rate, but only 1".

Installed a set of bilstein 5100s all round (fronts set to max) with FJ coils in front and rear factory airbags in back (lifted with the sensor trick)
Tires are 275 65 18 Duratracs. I love how it sits now!
I tried adding 1" thick topout spacers on the front but it was too much and the coils caught on the UCA

The Eibach rear coils are a 1" rear lift, 12% stiffer than stock. I have them and they are great.
