Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

no problem! i'll shoot you a few more pictures today. to answer your questions:

1) alignment after the lift turned out great - all in the green. i did go with SPC UCA's as i plan on upgrading to 33's when i need new tires. having those UCA's will be critical to get caster into spec with that size, not to mentioned getting better articulation in the front of the vehicle.

2) i'd say it has settled about a 1/2 inch at the very most. i don't have any additional weight either (no aftermarket bumpers, armor, etc) so that will def make a difference in how much it settles. i have driven it about 500 miles since getting the lift - normal roads around town, highway speeds up to 80mph, and some fairly bumpy roads up in rollins pass heading to the forest lakes/needles eye tunnel.

3) i did not go with the OME trim packer to correct drivers side lean. i can't even see a difference with my naked eye so it doesn't bother me at all if one side is 1/4" lower or whatever. the folks at Slee Off-Road basically said "don't bother" when they could have said "you need it" and charged me more money for it. def a personal choice but i didn't want to add any additional parts to the system if they weren't absolutely necessary.

Awesome man thanks for the info. I did a little more research last night and saw some people saying that the OME coils settle only about half an inch and some people reported close to an entire inch of settling. Did you ever come across any of that information? I’m starting to consider getting eibach coils with the 5100’s

no problem. and - yes - i've read tons feedback/reports on this site regarding how much OME will settle and it seems it can range anywhere from 0"-1". i researched this a bunch before going with my set-up as i was debating between 884 or 885 coils in the front for quite a while. it seems that the amount of settling really depends on how much additional weight each person is running...bumpers, sliders, armor, roof rack....and everyone is running different things, hence the different reports! since i'm totally stock, with v6, i doubt it'll settle much more, if at all, from where it currently sits.

Eibachs are on back order haha so maybe that’s a sign to get OME. Any way you could take some measurements later too and let me know how much it’s settled? In your research did you consider eibachs at all? How has the ride quality improved over stock in your opinion?

honestly, i didn't take "before/after" measurements so my quote on how much my vehicle has settled so far is a total guesstimate and just going by eye...so don't totally hold me to it! haha!

the difference of before/after would have been drastic since the original shocks had 150k on them and were both absolutely shot...basically bottom out on the frame even over speed bumps! it looked like i intentionally "slammed" the front end! talk about rake. ha!

since the truck was sitting below original factor height before my lift, i gained more than 3" comparatively. but, that said - now that it has settled, i can at least let you know where it is sitting now so you have some reference for how much you'd potentially gain.

in regards to eibach - yes, i did consider them. i already had a set of 5100's so i was going to get front/rear eibach springs to basically build the toytech ultimate lift. after reading a lot of reviews and also deciding to go with Slee, i sold the 5100's and went full OME - shocks and springs - as they are obviously meant to be paired together. also the OME shocks seem much much beefier than the 5100's, fwiw.

Man I can’t get over how similar the back ground is. It’s like that game “What’s different” :
Potted plant has flowers. Second story window is open. Truck parked in the alley. FUN
And nice 4Runner. I went with Dobinsons recently too and very happy.

295/70R17 Yokohama Geolandar G003s. Had cut a decent bit out of the front fenders, did a BMC just in case and still have a little rubbing somewhere...gonna see if it's hitting the pinch weld at all or if it just need a little less fender liner still.

Sorry for the late response!

Radflos are performing great! Day and night difference from stock both on and offroad. No reservoirs on my setup but dont think I am missing out on anything to be honest. If I was doing highspeed prerunning maybe.. but for what I plan to do they seem to suit me just fine.

How do you like your Radflo's and do you have external reservoirs? been looking at them for a new suspension setup

Still having a tough time deciding between ome 884s or the eibach pro truck coils. I don't have any extra weight up front and don't plan on adding any - I do a fair amount of offloading and am worried the ome 884s will settle more than the eibachs would. I know the ome gives a smoother ride than eibachs but just want to know which would be best for the long term. I also am seeing lots of conflicting info about the amount of lift gained from the 884s. Really am trying to stay around 2.5" of lift.

That's a nice truck! Looks to be about the same as mine. I have an 07 sr5 4wd v6. How much lift did you gain with the 885s? How long have you been running this set up? Any settling?

Right about 3" of lift. Had the setup for a few weeks, no settling yet but I am expecting .5" or so over the first couple months.

Do you have any extra weight in the front? Or a v8? Most of what I've read says the 885s will give over a 3 inch lift with the v6. I'm trying to stay closer to 2.5 would the 884s be a better option for me?

FYI, I got 2.25" with 883s on my v8. After about 5 months, still the same.

Measured again and it is a bit over 3", probably closer to 3.5, but my factory suspension was kind of saggy. I have a little bit of extra weight from heavier skids and a compressor (maybe 50lbs). If you aren't planning to do new UCAs, then 885s might be too much and you probably will have alignment issues. I added t120 nitro UCAs so I didn't have to worry about that. I also wanted to mostly level the truck, and so paired with then 895s, the 885s do that. 884s are the same spring rate, just a bit shorter.

In any event, I expect it to settle some over time.
