Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

'07 V6. OME 884/896 with their shocks. Drawer system in the rear was making the 895's sag. JBA UCA's. OEM wheels with 265/70/r17 KO2's. New OEM LCA's. Front fender push. Mud flaps removed.

I like this look and it's probably what I will go with (31" K02) on my OME 2884 / Superflex rear setup. Any thoughts on how it handles and looks? Thanks

In these pics I'm running Bilstein 5100s, Toytec 2.5" springs in front and Toytec 2" springs in the rear. In the front I also have the Daystar 2.5" spacers from the first spacer lift I put on it a couple years ago. So a total of 5" of lift in front and 2" in back, which doesn't seem right when I look at it, seems more like a 3/2 lift. Measured from the ground to the bottom of each fender and they are all equal except the drivers rear is 1" lower than the rest. Front alignment is whack though, anytime I turn right I get a really bad vibration that two different alignment shops couldn't fix. Turn left and its much better. Very annoying. This weekend I plan to swap out the 2.5" spacers for 2" spacers in the front and also add a 1" spacer to the drivers side rear, so hopefully it will level out left to right too and being a hair shorter in the front, hoping the vibration goes away. With JBA Upper Control Arms and 285/70-17 Patagonia M/Ts.

Finally decided to treat myself at about 19 years of being stock.

Front: Bilstein 5100 shocks with OME 2884
Rear: Bilstein 5100 shocks with 1.5" coil spacer
Wheels: FN f(x) wheels in gloss dark gray gunmetal
Tires: 265/70/17R BFG Trail Terrains

I would say the front lift was higher than expected (I didn't factor in how much my original suspension had sagged after 19 years). I would prefer the front an inch or so lower so I had that forward rake/lean to it. (But the front shocks are already on the lowest ring so not sure what my options are...shorter coils, wait for the suspension to settle and see, etc.)

I did get a BMC done by a local shop and pushed the fender liner forward. I do rub on the rear mudflaps when the tires get stuffed in the wheel wells, trying to figure out some cuts to make there

How long has it been installed for? My OME bilstein setup took about a month to settle, and i was just running 883 on a 2WD.

Suspension: RC 3” M1 series lift, stock UCAs
Wheels: Mayhem Compass 8305 - 17x9, -6 offset
Tires: Cooper Evolution MT - 35x12.50r17
Other: BMC, front bumper trim, rear mud flap trim

No rubbing :)

I have a 1” body lift on order with Toytec, but I don’t know that we are going to install it…when it eventually comes in.

If you still have the front mudflaps, I found those are a good size for the rear, just have to drill through them to line up the mounting holes

How much did this lower your gas mileage?

4x4 V8 SR5 on 265/70R17 Sumitomo Encounter AT's, OME 885's up front, 895's in the rear, stock Toyota shocks at all 4 corners. The front shock bushings are compressed heavily so they could probably stand to be replaced with either poly bushings or just new shocks all the way around. I expect I'd gain 1/2-1" in the front by just replacing those bushings, they are very compressed. I'll probably go with OME 90000/60004's until I get the rear bumper, tire carrier, jerry cans, etc.

The truck rides really well in this configuration. It hasn't bottomed out since install, and did not require a UCA for alignment. It rubs the UCA at lock, I'm not sure if stock tires would rub the UCA, but I bet wheels with more backspace/offset or a spacer would eliminate that rub.

Pictures are after lift on top, before lift underneath.

Love the setup! I have the v8, same color and same lift! Did you put spacers?

How do you like those Moog FJ springs with the 5100's? This is almost exactly what I was thinking of doing. What setting did you use on front?

I really like them, especially after refreshing all the front-end bushings, although it is a bit soft if you want to tow anything substantial. It's on the 3rd highest setting.
