Lift = New brake lines?

So I was in the dealership today and asked about the labor cost to install my OME lift. They asked if I had the new brake lines or ABS sensor kit.
He said he wasn't sure but they see a lot of lifted trucks coming in that have ripped off their brake line and/or ABS sensor, and it might be required for my lift.

Do I need new brake lines?

Just curios what all the other lifted guys have done about it...?

Nope, you shouldn't need new brake lines or ABS kit, unless you have a moron install your lift, and they screw it up, then yes, you probably would need those things.

After installing my own lift, I can tell you that if someone is lazy/reckless they will absolutely rip the ABS wire and brake lines. However if a shop does that, they should be responsible for repairing or replacing it. If they are expecting you to pre-purchase parts they anticipate damaging, I would take your business elsewhere.

No No. It had nothing to do with damage during install. He said that they're seeing more and more trucks coming in with lift that flexed to the point of ripping their brake lines off, guess....

I have longer brake in the rear of mine but I am running All Pro 3.5" springs and longer Bilstein shocks to get as much droop as possible. You should be fine with 2" springs in the rear, and the front will be ok for sure. Its very easy to check just let one side of the rear droop all the way down and make sure there is still slack in the brake line, if its taught you probably want to replace with a longer line.
