This is a guy that paid $42K for an SR5.
He wants to run 15" rims.
He wants to lift it 6".
He has negative equity.
He wants to put 37" tires on it. [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] gave him a warm welcome.

Most people on here are pretty against drop bracket lifts... Which is what you are implying you want... They are generally for looks only and sort of destroy the functionality of the truck.

However, there is a guy on here from japan running a drop bracket lift on 35s and it seems to actually be holding up for him.

So ridiculous how everyone jumps down someones throat because they dont believe in x. Frankly my 4Runner will run 35-37" tires some day, IT HAS TO. Serious 4x4 trails today demand it. Can you imagine a trip to the Sierras on a 31" equivalent tire while everyone else is running 35-37"? I am not modding our new 40K vehicle for this yet, and will run my old rig for years to come yet, but when I wheel and wheel, and I am not alone.
 
When you are cruising the mall looks matter a lot. Although a LE is ideal I'm sure OP can represent well with an SR5.

sorry, i was confused... i thought there would be some solid info out there for the OP. :nicethread:

This thread has inspired me!

I just ordered the big break kit, 15" Interco Bias tires that I'll mount on 18x11 aluminum steelies (with double thick wheel spacers), and a 12" balsa wood body lift to keep the weight down.


So excited!!:popcorn:

I already suggested [MENTION=128287]DAGNABIT[/MENTION] - but [MENTION=66316]1engineer[/MENTION] would be an excellent choice. There would be a new sheriff in town for sure, haha
