lifted...any regrets???

Thank you for everyones input. I am a newbie in the 4x4 scene. Would I have to install new UCA's if I did a spacer lift?

One man's opinion here, but don't waste your time with a spacer lift. The major flaws with a stock 4Runner are nose diving during braking, body roll/sway when cornering, a narrow stance, and crappy tires.

Spacer lifts allow for bigger tires but don't help with the nose diving or sway/roll.

A proper suspension lift, wheel spacers, and proper tires turn a mushy driving experience into a super tight, yet slightly stiffer set up. A WAY better ride as far as Im concerned.

Again, just my 2 cents...

I have 3" spacer lift in front and new coils in rear that give 2" and there is less body roll/sway. Its not as significant as doing the other types of lifts Im sure but it is there and better IMO.

I have a 3" toyteck spacer lift. Love the lift and wouldn't have it any other way, Unless I had an extra 2-4k sitting around for an ICON :D.
I drive 40-50k a year on I-5 for work but play plenty hard on my farm. The lift and bigger tires have saved me from hidden stumps more than once.

I have a tacoma and spend a lot of time in hofs05's 4runner. With my tacoma's OME lift my only regret might be not going all out on the all pro long travel kit that I now covet. But I'm very happy with OME's performance, just remember that a poor man can only afford to buy something once, so if your going to lift it, do it right the fist time.
