Lifter adj

Hey is there anyone that's in the upperlake/lakeport ca
Area that can possibly show me how to do a lifter adj.?
I know how to take the valve covers off and everything else jus don't know anything about the internals... Any input would be greatly appreciated?thx

As far as I know the valve adjustment is done my measuring clearances and swapping out the lifter tappets to achieve the correct value.
This is highly regarded by most Toyota technicians to be completely unnecessary on the 5VZ engine regardless of mileage.

Nope I never have since I've owned it. I have the ever-so-slightest valve tick but I'm not worried about it.

I just had a remanded motor installed and now the motor has a tic. 9,000miles later
But if it's unnecessary then eff it! Lol
