Possibly interested in the smaller bar as well. On the 03-05, the lower grille is not removable but on the 06-09 it is removable.

Actually could you just make a brush guard that mounts from this location instead of the typical lower mounting? I would really like light guards that limb risers could be mounted to. If the "wings" or side sections were bolt on then this would make shipping much better. Right?

First off thank you everyone for the well wishes on my baby boy!!! We had a great day yesterday and have a healthy 7lb 2oz boy #2 on our hands now. My 2 year old gets to meet him today for the first time, very exciting.
So I am getting interest in a few options here haha. My first idea was to make it basically just like that, but you would replace the tube with a 30" LED bar. Are you interested in that, or in one that has the tubing, and tabs for other light options?

Thanks for the info on the lower grill! I will just build them as if it is not removable so they can all be the same. I want to offer a few options, but you have to draw a line somewhere haha. I send out drawings to a laser cutter in CA who has minimum orders, so it's hard doing onsey twoseys.
This is a larger more one off thing. The problem when you start building larger stuff is the shipping. A lot of people say "ok I would pay $200 for that," but then when shipping is another $100 they change their minds. All the shipping places charge more on size then weight, so if you have something that is 4 lbs, but 40" long, it will be very expensive to ship. If you want one of the larger ones I am doing a short run of, shoot me a PM. Thanks for the interest.
You really wouldn't want a brush guard that mounts through the grill. They can get heavy once you start building tubes to go around head lights and around the bumper. My mounts that go through the grill are 3/16" thick which is better than most use, but they still have their limits. They work great for a peace of short tube and some lights, but not for a bunch of steel... If you want a larger one like I talked about earlier, shoot me a PM. We can talk about a custom one that has a few more options if you want.

I like this but what about with a upper bar that wrapped the upper part of the bumper? It could be bolt on to make shipping easier?
This would allow you to trim the lower bumper and have a mount for lights and some added protection...
I like th smaller bar. It would be nice to have the light mount under the bar for added protection. I just don't liek things sticking up.

I am looking for a tube version with tabs for more mounting options. Also, I have been backed into so many time here in Denver, I feel the LED between the brackets alone would be rather vulnerable.

i think that mounting tabs on a bar would be better as well. would be great to have tabs to mount a bar on top as well as the bottom of the bar

Loving all the interest!!! Ok so from what I am getting is two options, but a little different than before.
#1 - Stealth mount behind the lower grill. This is low key, allows for other accessories without getting in the way, and will not affect approach angle as some were concerned about.
#2 - This is the change. This will be the one that sits outside and in front of the bumper. I am thinking I am gunna go ahead and do the tube version here. It will allow everyone to mount lights in few different ways, round or LED bar. Just not, this will not be painted/powder coated. I had trouble with UPS/FedEx both damaging light bars before. I will think about it, maybe I can find a better way to package them to protect them more.
Tentative prices! Subject to change ones I formalize plans and get final prices for material and cutting. These prices are both raw material, no paint. I am working on plans to offer with powder coating, probably $50 more each coated (cost of coating and more expensive shipping materials).

Would it be possible to make version #1 with slots so you can adjust how far it will stick out? This would allow it to be mounted either behind the grille or for the grille to be removed and the bar flush with the bumper.

I don't know if that would work. For me to get the bar to sit flush after cutting out the lower grill, I would have to require everyone to cut the grill for the tab to go that far forward.
The more requests I get, the more I am feeling like it won't be a big deal to offer more than the 2 versions. I think I will make a lot of the two popular ones, but if someone wants something different and not too far fetched, I can always cut out special tabs the next time I order laser cutting. You would just have to wait for the next run. Does that seem fare?

Managed to get some software on my wife's computer to do some drafting. Here are the FOUR options I drew up.
From top to bottom:
- Stealth, behind lower grill
- Flush, cut out lower grill
- Out front, 30" LED bar in front of bumper, no tube
- Tube, 30" wide tube for mounting round lights (up to four 7" lights)
30" LED Stealth and Flush mounts
Out front (hole in mount for LED bar to bolt) and Tube (no hole)
If you look at the pictures, the single drawing to the left of all the options is the mount plate. You can see the sideways "T" shape, and the triangle next to each option. That is a side gusset to keep vibrations from happening. Then on the tube option, there is also an additional gusset for the tube.
Hope you all like what I got so far. I will be printing templates this week and making sure they all fit. Then I will get quotes and finalize prices for all options. If you decide you want one, I will collect deposits, then get final payment when ready to ship. I will more than likely start a new thread in the "for sale" section when it comes time to offer them up.
