Like the Nav in the LTD but--

Overall, I am quite pleased with the navigation in my 2011 LE. This - especially after I had a chance to read the manual in great depth and figure out why the Nav appeared to be taking me where it wanted to go instead of where I wanted to go (had to do something with the fact that the places I wanted to go were boring)!

The only thing that I hate about the Nav is the lengthy command flow! When you hit the talk button on the steering it says choose from the following options and goes through the list each time and there are multiple lists like that within each option! It is quicker to just pull over the damn truck and manually dial the number!

If you just hit the voice command button again, it will interrupt it and you can say what you want before she reads through the list, ie- dial by name. Still a little lengthy, but at least you dont need to listen to all the options very time.

Huh....I hit the 'talk' button - it beeps - I say "dial xxxxx" - and it rings instantly.

There's a setting in the options to disable the prompts. Instead of reading everything, it just skips straight to the beep. I liked my nav a lot more once I figured that out.

There is an option in the settings that allows you to toggle it to basically "short prompts" When I press the button on my steering wheel, it just "beeps". You can also say sub commands from the main menu as a shortcut. For example, to dial someone, you don't have to say "PHONE", then "DIAL BY NAME" You can say "DIAL BY NAME" from the first prompt.

I don't recall which menu it's in to change that prompt, but I'm sure you can discover it by watching the video and/or consulting your Navigation Owners Manual. If you don't find it, I'll look when I get off work.
