Little more news from ARB.

Anyone notice that ARB's 4Runner they took to SEMA had ARB skid plates on it? I emailed ARB about them and also asked about the Safari Snorkel (again). The following is their response.

Not much info is yet available on the under vehicle protection (UVP) kits. The one on the new 4runner is the Prado 150 kit and we found it was a complete bolt on. I haven't seen finalized pricing yet, but it looks like the complete kit will retail for less than 500.00 US. I would expect stock on hand sometime shortly after the first of the year. As for a snorkel, that could be a wait. We've had only a small amount of interest to this point, but more importantly there are no 4Runners in Australia for Safari to develop the snorkel on. Until that changes there will not be a snorkel available.

I wonder if I can talk them into shipping their 4Runner to Australia for Safari to fit/prototype a snorkel.

Also, apologize if this has been posted before. Didn't get and results specific to ARB skids when I searched

Emailed ARB USA about the skids, and received an email today that says they are now available. Need to talk to an ARB dealer. Will find out in the next couple of days if they are truly orderable.

Oh, thanks for the reminder. I guess over Christmas they hosted the fine folks of Safari... I need to email them to see if Safari is going to make a snorkel already.

I would assume the parts are available since they are a direct bolt up to the Prado 150. If you/they have the part numbers ask the dealer to oder them!!

Safari is an independent company separate from ARB. They use ARB USA as a distributor for the snorkels in the U.S.. Also, ARB's facility in Renton is ARB's U.S. headquarters and distribution facility, they don't do any manufacturing in the U.S..

Very Cool! I'm interested to see them and how thick they are. Sub $500 sounds enticing!
