need recommendation on cold weather PSI

need recommendation on PSI, Light on dash just came on as soon as we hit 45 degrees last night
Need recommendation on good PSI for my 2006.
No off road, just freeway and city streets. 4x4 for street snow only.
Use 4Runner to haul my detection dogs.

Looking for good cold weather PSI to
1) keep the light dash off
2) help with gas mileage
3) safety and performance

I applaud you for this well written post, most people don't realize you don't need to be running 40-55psi on an unloaded vehicle.

Based on the charts and my unloaded vehicle weight, I'm running my 265/70R17 C Duratracs at 36 psi. My chart begins at 1890 lbs. 35psi for a single axle. I didn't feel comfortable going any lower for highway speeds. My average mpg did drop to 18.9 from 19.0. The ride is great, but I am open to suggestions from those more informed.
