Cruising range, mi. 410

It seems the cruising range is about 410 miles per tank, and the vehicle they tested was a 2003 SR5 4.0 V6 4x4 4Runner.

That is not bad at all and figuring the engine was not broken in yet.

Oh yeah i always set the trip odometer. I refueled yesterday and i went 402 miles on a tank with like 7 miles left to go on the range indicator. My gas mileage is getting better!!! And also, I kept the rpms at 2000 max during acceleration and cruising on the freeway yesterday, now it says my mpg is 26+ mpg. Makes me wanna drive like a grandma with gas prices these days.

I'm consistently under 300. What gives??? Gas around me is2.05 for regular and 2.25 for premium. 400 would help but still not be great.

im getting around 340miles on the tank... 1400k miles on the odometer. i'm hoping the mpg will go up after i get some more miles on my 4runner. what grade do you guys use? i started using 87 since gas prices have skyrocketed... i did notice a small drop in power since i usually put it 93. what brand gas do you use and is there any you guys recommend?

Well crap! i thought gas prices were bad here.. ranging around $1.70-1.98 per gallon. Close to 2.00 but not there yet. and definately not over

15k+ miles on my 04 V8 Limited and mine always oeverstates the mileage. I am running 5=30 REdline Synth oil and did get a gain with that but I ahve not converted the diffs and t-case to Redline yet. I run 87 Oct for the most part. 91 (I live in CA) gets me just over 2 mpg better but that is not enough to make up for the extra $.30/gal it costs. If it gave about 3.5 mpg over the 87 it would be worth the cost.

i just took a trip last weekend and i got around 19-22mpg the entire trip(380miles)... probably couldve done the entire trip on one tank of gas but couldnt pass up the cheap gas($2.01) down in VA.
