There are ways to finance vehicles without buying from a dealer. Unless maybe it's credit that needs to be "rebuilt" and a high-interest financing dealer is the only option. But being that specific on a 11 or 12 year old, still in high demand vehicle is going to be hard enough. Finding it at a dealer only makes it harder. We narrowed our criteria only to lighter colors, like silver, gold, white, or even grey. Have nothing against the darker, bolder colors but they show dirt sooner than the lighter ones. I also started searching what was near to me and kept expanding my search out. I'm on the opposite coast, but I don't think I saw a single white limited for sale while I was searching. My friend has one he handed down to his daughter, that is probably exactly what you are looking for, and it has been well taken care of - but I doubt you could ever pry it away from him. He missed it so much when he gave it to her, he went out and found himself another 3rd gen to use as his DD. Good luck with your search.
