Personally I am digging into r/c heli's & boats now. I have it narrowed down between a couple in each, just need to make up my mind and pick one!

westwind77 are you leaning toward gas powered hydros, or the 'displacement hull' type boats?
The helis are nice, but you need a lot of training/practice with them. I think RC planes are easier to master.
Post some pics when you get 'em built/flying/sailing. :hungry:

I've done a lot of reading on the r/c heli's - They are not too hard to fly, but hard to master. They tell you to use a computer trainer 1st though, after you are good there to actually fly the heli. They have made a lot of advancements with the gyros and stability. It would be a slow learning process but the challenge is the fun though.

Now with the boat, I have run them before. I am looking at this company...

I am finding the hobby is impossible to quit. I started in 1985 and keep getting pulled back into it. I've had gas and electric cars/trucks, and a plane, boat and heli- all electric. I figured I could at least fly the heli, but it was a waste of $400 bucks. Take off- crash. Order parts. Take off- crash. Order parts. Take off- crash. Order parts. Take off- crash. Get mad and make it "fly" for once and for all, across the entire yard. Weeeeeeeeee!!

I had the same story when I started to learn heli flying. I learned the hard way coz that time we still don't have those sophisticated gyro and stabilization and bailout system. Whenever I lift the heli off the ground, the problem is how I'm gonna bring it down in one piece. I'm interested also with those RC 4WD with remote locking differential but budget dont permits coz I still have some unfinished project;
and this is my Helicam:
it compliment with my 4RTE as I could go anywhere off the road to find spot for shooting.

It looks like a few R/Cers on this forum.
Dynamic Soaring is my passion.
The main reason I bought the 4Runner.
Holds a lot of planes, gets me to a lot of hills.
