Looking to replace stock speakers

Here is what I did, 6 of 8 are replaced, I will eventually change out the tailgate speakers as well.
search for the infinity kappa thread, you will find info on how the speakers are wired, it is different. Also, there is no drop in adaptor for the front doors. you will have to make your own.

I finally purchased and this past weekend installed my front door replacements. Ironic as it is, I ended up installing JBL components 
I went with the MS-62C set.
I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" and have been in car audio for quite a while. That said, I was fully expecting to spend 400-500 on a set of 6.5" components for my front doors from Focal, Hertz, or Hybrid Audio. After reading many great reviews about the JBL MS-62C components, I figured I'd give them a honest chance to impress me. At less than $200, I didn't expect anything spectacular.
All the reviews were true. These components sound as good if not better than sets that cost twice as much. I've heard some pretty high end components, and I couldn't believe how nice the JBL's sounded. You may want to look into them.
DISCLAIMER: I did not wire these up to an OEM head unit, but rather an external amp that gives them about 100 watts per set. The output will differ in an OEM setting. Also, my entire vehicle has been stripped down to the sheet metal and extensively sound deadened, especially the front doors which will greatly improve ANY speakers sound in that location. That said...I still love these components.

i have boston aoustics in my 05 sr5. overall, im very happy with them. got amazing deal on crutchfield. id recommend getting the alpine mini amp which plugs in behind the headunit. sure beats rewiring all the speakers

Would appreciate any input. I Have 2012 SR5 and want to replace all the speakers to start. No Nav and I think it's the basic stock system with 8 speakers. Also If I ad an Amp can I bypass the party mode?

I just recently did a change-out of all 8 speakers with Infinity Kappas.
3-1/2" in Dash
6-3/4" in Rear Hatch, Rear Doors, & Front Doors
You can use the factory speakers as mounts for the new ones. If you want, I'll post some pics. Don't worry about adapter rings.
Also get 6 of the Toyota Wiring Adapters...you can re-use the connector from the old dash speakers. There is a thread somewhere on that by "darkdane".
Don't forget to get the Bass Blockers for the Dash Speakers. I used these:
PAC BB-1PR (BB1PR) Pair of 6x9 Bass Blockers / Passive Crossover
I did not touch the Head Unit at all, and don't foresee that I'll need to. The system sounds way better than the Factory Install. I am getting a much better dynamic range from the lows to the highs, instead of the mushy mid-tones from those wimpy factory speaks.
While you have those door panels off, might as well remove the lights so you can upgrade to LED. And get some Sound Deadener Material...I ended up using 6 sheets of 18" x 32".

The front doors on mine were 6x9's. I think he meant that is what he bought and installed...which can fit into the OEM 6x9 opening.
I installed 6.5" in my front doors using an MDF baffle I made:
