This clunk is driving me bananas!!!!! I posted a thread awhile back saying I had developed a clunk in the front end that almost sounded like my axle was bouncing around and about to fall off. (By axle I obviously mean rack in pinion bc we are IFS) So after looking around here on some threads and trying to figure it out, I narrowed it down to the rack and pinion bushings, which I just changed yesterday with wheelers kit. I will say, alot of the noise went away! BUT SOME OF IT IS STILL THERE!
When I hit a bump there is a very similar sound still (clunk). It is basically the same as before just now less frequent. I notice it more when slightly turned.
Now its not a pop so its not my CV's and they are both fairly new. I also asked my mechanic to double check me and look at my ball joints and tie rods and he said they all looked good.
I am stumped! ANY IDEAS? only thing I can now think of is the rack and pinion steering guide, but I don't have sloppy steering really so I can't imagine it being that.
