LPSV bleeds but no fluid is making it to the drums

This is my 86 4runner which has a stock suspension. My brakes were hard so I replaced my booster. The good news is that seemed to have helped. But while I bled the brakes I noticed the rears were dry. The fronts were fine. I traced the issue back to the LSPV.

The two brake lines coming from the front are wet. Brake fluid comes out of the bleeder valve at the botom when you bleed it. But the outlet hose that goes to the flexible hose which then goes to the brake line over the axle is dry. Is there an adjustment I can do, or is it bad? In the pic, the line that is dry is the hook shaped one.

The line could be plugged, try blowing them out with compressed air to see if that helps.

That metal rod attached to the axle pushes a plunger up in down that load senso. Take the boot off of it and try to pull it down and out, It might be stuck. That valve is rebuildable.

Those lines shouldn't be wet, so that's another problem to take care of.

Disconnect the actuating rod where it connects to the axle and make sure that you can move it up and down. Then tie it up to the frame and and try bleeding one of the rear wheel cylinders (when the rod is at full travel up towards the frame the LSPV provides full pressure to the rear axle).

Thanks for the reply. It's clogged for sure. I ended up removing the LPSV and taking off the boot. What a surprise! Nasty stuff- dirt, fluid, more dirt, mud, you get the idea. The boot is dry-rotted and has some slits in it. The rubber boot on the opposite end is also cracked/slit. The large nut is rusted too.

I havent looked but knowing Toyota, I will have to get a new LPSV and arm as I doubt they will sell the boots and a kit to rebuild it. Correct me if I am wrong on this.

I don't know if you can rebuild the stock LSPV or not. You could probably buy a new assembly though. One popular option is to delete the LSPV and run a Willwood manual proportiong valve from the brake master. Would take some hard line rerouting. Look around on Pirate and Yotatech for info on this and see how you feel about it as opposed to just bolting up a new LSPV.

It looks like they do sell a bush n boots kit. 04470-XXXXX. Still trying to find out the last. I also have some land cruisers I am parting out, maybe one of them will fit.

To close this out, a new LSPV and arm along with bleeding them fixed the problem.

ok sorry to drag up an old thread but i am having the same problem replaced front pads and when i went to bleed the brakes no fluid coming out of the rear brakes i got one off of a junk truck at a junkyard but it is doing the same thing no fluid to rear wheels, i get plenty of pressure at the valve and really need to get some rear brakes so i can drive the yota, any help is greatly appreciated.
