LTDSC Build Thread

how do you feel about adjustability compared to LR? I've always been leaning towards SPC cause of the price but all the hate and horror stories i hear makes me wanna spend the extra for the TC stuff

It's built into the arm so instead of being able to adjust it, it's already built in.

Bought and installed Total Chaos Upper arms. I really wanted these to begin with so while i was swapping SPC bushings i decided just do it.

So far im loving these. it feels as if almost allowed a little more lift, ill take measurements but i highly doubt it.

Awesome...i've been considering swapping them out too but still hesitant due to the cost. I haven't really had any issues with mine yet but am really starting to see more and more negative stories pop up.

Have you noticed any difference in regards to less binding/smoother, quieter when bouncing? I imagine they would also allow for a little more droop given their design. Also, you end up paying retail?

So far it's been smoother than before. I've tested it on some speed bumps and it's dead silent and feels smoother honestly. It definitely drooped out more with these than the LR arms.

I paid $615 from metal tech with Tacoma world discount code and free shipping.

I highly recommend the swap

i like this. sorry for the questions but did you talk to anyone at metal tech about how they compare to the camburg uniballs? looks like the same design but only slightly less expensive

I didn't. It would be a good question to ask though. Both are great quality either way you go

Did you have enough room in the engine bay to romove the Uca long bolts on both sides, or did you have to move/remove battery, air filter etc...?

I had enough room without the battery being pulled. Was a little pain but it worked.

The camburgs use a 1.25" uniball, compared to total chaos' 1" uniball. Other than that, they are pretty much the same, as in the amount of added caster.

After talking with DownSouth Motorsports I opted for a version (price was the same, ie +\- $50) that had 1" uni's. The argument from DSM was 1" Uni balls are pretty standard in Motorsports so availability if something failed was better versus 1.25" uni's can sometimes be hard to find.

got these goodies

Left is new VLED 5k temp and the right is the older kit. You can clearly see the difference. I like a bright white over a blue.

I also installed footwell lights, was more of a challenge than i originally thought but i got it all done and works great. I can get pics later for that.

it was one of the popular kits someone here recommended. I was happy with them until some dome light LEDs were starting to fail and i like a white look over blue.
