finally resembling drawers.

The left most cover is just laying there so its not level and at the right height. I'm going to probably place a 1/2" plank underneath to keep the boxes level as they seem to dive into each other. Then im going to secure each side to each other as well.

Going to the fabric store to grab a somewhat matching felt to cover them in. I have the right drawer face done as well, finished it after the photo.

To cover mine, I used an outdoor fabric that I found at Home Depot. Goes well with the interior.

I'm actually about to (finally) start a build and adventure thread. I did a write up of the drawer system build up on ExPo: LINK (My two posts are #2140 and #2171)

Fully assembled and installed in the vehicle. Routed all the hard edges for an easy soft reach in. Bolted to the floor and to each other in multiple places. The tan carpet did not deliver in time so that is next weekends project but for now, shes essentially finished.

Since the tent, drawers and spare on the rear my 2" springs were obviously sagging and needed some help.

I swapped in some 3" Metal Tech LT springs over the weekend and it brought back all the height i lost since adding the tent and drawers and even the spare. Ride is the same and looks back to normal.

Was in Pismo Beach last weekend for a quick weekend trip. We drove around most the day Saturday so i really didnt get too many photos. The camp photos you can almost feel the hangover.

This weekend i made the right face cover to make it even on both sides. I rolled some Durabak, which is similar to a LineX like material. I chose "beige/sand" which ended up being a little lighter than i wanted but its not bad. Im very pleased with the quality of the product and the finish.

just map it out and follow it, its easy to get lost out there even with the map. I had Gaia on my ipad directly in front of me on the dash and still managed to take a few wrong turns. Thankfully a lot of the roads intersect at some point. Good luck and enjoy the area, it was insanely beautiful.

Thanks. Were there any obstacles that are iffy for a solo driver? Also, how do you like Gaia? I'm debating which app to put on my tablet for off roading.

it was pretty straight forward. I wouldnt think anything would be too sketchy for a solo act.

I really like gaia, i use it for tracking all my offroading so i can backtrack and see where i was. If you use it make sure to download the map before you go so you can view it when you dont have signal.

After Pismo i realized i needed some drawer lights. So i went with Rigid A Series lights and decided to mount them in the tailgate interior panel. I ran the wiring up the inside of the door and away from the window tracks and through the OEM grommet to the headliner and down the rear pillar. I placed the on/off switch on the rear drivers pillar to be a good height for easy access. Im real happy with how bright they are and how it all came out.

Copy cat! Looks good and although it's a pain, routing the wire through the stock grommet makes for such a clean install. I have mine hooked to my rear dome light so on/off/door operation but having them powered of the second battery with their own switch would be nice too.

i ran them through my accessory fuse panel. the draw is 0.3a so i wont worry unless it seems to start causing problems. It doesnt get driven much so it should be fine.

Ill have to look at yours, i dont remember seeing you do them too haha but its necessary.

was gifted a set of RCI skids from a local member. The transmission skid was dented up from normal/proper usage so i heated it up with a torch and sledged that motha' back to form. Once flattened i re-sprayed them with some matte black and installed. This was a huge upgrade over the OEM skids that were pretty torn up and barely hanging on. Thanks again Leonard!

With the early RCI skids they were short for my crossmember. So I made a new support and integrated into factory pieces so I could bolt it up properly and make it look OEM.
