After shopping all of the Truckvault like products out there, I finally decided to go wood and do my own. I enlisted the services of someone with better tools and much greater skill than I. You can see the results below.
There is about a $200 investment in materials: 1/2 inch Birch 7 ply for most, 3/4 inch ply for drawer bottom and top of box, hardwood face, 150 lb drawer glides, laquer finish, latch and hardware.
I would normally overbuild the capacity, but going above the 150 lb rating on the drawer glides was a significant price increase. I'm very happy with the results. I will most likely carpet the top before I am done.
