Magnaflow? Cerry Bomb? recommendations

Yep. D bags wanted $70 to cut and weld a muffler!! I know at least 2 shops that would do it for $25. So I just need to find the right direct swap muffler for the right deep sound and Ill get someone to throw it on. Please guide me to a link where I can just get a decent, high flow, deep sound quality muffler.

I really don't feel comfortable picking out one. It really depends on the sound that you like the most.

I would recommend either Flowmaster 40, Cherrybomb Vortex, Mangaflow, or Spintech. Your best best would be to look on Youtube and find the one you like, then go to Ebay and buy it there for much cheaper. You probably want 2.25" in and out.

I think the Vortex I have is like 20 1/2 inches.

ive been looking at a vortex... u have a good quality vid of the sound by chance? most on youtube suck though i found only one that was good. How long has urs lasted u, i heard they dont last too long?

I've tried to make a video before, but have never gotten a good one. I guess I could try again soon.

The muffler was one of the first things I changed. So I've probably had it for close to a year and a half.

I bought a cherry bomb vortex muffler about a year or so ago off of amazon of all places, picked it up for $40 and free shipping. I got the 2.25" and it matched right up with the exhaust piping. $30 installed and I was good to go. It does sound really good, especially with the windows down, but there is a pretty distinct drone from about 1600-1900 rpm. And since I have an auto 6cl its right before where my engine likes to change gears. For the price I paid tho, i really can't complain at all.

ok so since u say that elton, then im def not gonna get that... looks like its prob gonna be the vortex but the magnaflow is still a consideration.

ya i gotcha... only reason im not 100% sure bout getting it is bc i dunno if the drone on the vortex or magnaflow 18 is gonna be too loud for my 9 month old daughter.

Hmm...I'm not too sure how much a child would enjoy a loud exhaust. Maybe a Flowmaster 50 series or Magnaflow 24"?

I just called around to a bunch of muffler shops and took it to the cheapest one. It's not too hard to do. Just cut off the old one and weld on the new one.

i have magnaflow with a high flow cat and it sounds about the same as clemson.

call the local performance shops and tell them what you have and what you want, I went from a flowmaster which my neighbors left me notes on my windshield for to my magnaflow for $75 out the door, then sold the flowmaster on CL.
