Magnaflow Muffler

Well, got my new exhaust manifold on this afternoon and wow, what a difference in idle and take off noise.However..my question is with the Magnaflow muffler I also had welded up today.Have any of you had any "drone" problems with yours? Could it be the stock exhaust pipe in conjuntion with the muffler making it loud in the cab?This thing is almost unbearable with any amount of throttle past 1/4 the way down.

I put one on mine and it sounds fine. It might be that it's a 4 cyl and they sound a bit more higher than the 6's

Depends on what model you went with.

I went with the largest model possible 14586 and have no issues with cabin noise. I'm not saying there is no noise. You can tell the exhaust is there. It's just a little louder than stock.

I had a flowmaster 50 on my old 3.4L. It sounded great, but droned like hell in the cabin.

Others have gone with the Magnaflow 11366, (4x9x14"), the 12226, (5x8x14"), and the 12256, (5x8x18"), and either love them or hate them.
