Just a heads up to anyone in the Tampa-Clearwater area who is looking to purchase and install a Magnuson s/c. Avoid Gearhead Performance. I spent 5495 for a Magnuson supercharger. Ed at the shop refused to email me a receipt. After weeks of delays and refusing to send me a receipt I canceled my order. This was a nightmare and took three weeks for a partial refund. Ed said it was a restocking fee, I told him he didn’t say anything about it but he argued that he did. So I was charged an 800 plus restocking fee. I followed up with Wyatt at Magnuson who said they didn’t have an order placed and did not have any restocking fees billed to Gearhead. Magnuson attempted a three way call but Ed didn’t want to participate. I followed up again with Magnuson who said Ed told him it was an 800 plus shop scheduling fee. Ed has lied several times. Not sure how a shop can charge a scheduling fee when they did not have a delivery date or have me schedule a day to have it installed. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Have you successfully used any other shops in the area to do installs for you? I'm in Tampa as well, planning to do all my own suspension work and supercharger someday down the line but I'd like to know where I can take the truck if I fudge something up.

I just used Hardcore Trucks on 66th in St Pete recently for some suspension work. Super quick turnaround. Quoted price upfront. Limited experience but happy.
