I have an 03 Sport V-8 that I've had for about 8 months and I love it. This vehicle had 61000 miles on it and it ran better and felt better with that mileage than the last 2 Explorers I purchased when they were new. Great truck...

But I wanted to say that this forum has been great too in picking up details and info on 4runners. I am a "read the owner's manual" kind of guy, but I've learned at least as much from this site. So the occasional whiff of rotten egg with the back window down or the tranny thump didn't freak me out. (I am still trying to take care of the sun roof rattle though...) But what prompted me to write was a tip I picked up on here on how to fix scratches in the plastic upholstery. My interior looked great except for a scratch on the glove compartment door. Looked like someone crossed their leg and their shoe did a number on it. I figured I would just have to live with it. Then I read on here where some guy says to take a heat gun and carefully heat the scratch and it will basically disappear. Guess what--it works! I now have a pristine dash again and all is right with the world.

Thanks again and if I figure out something worthy of passing along I will let you guys know. Thanks again!!
