What rear coils are you running now? How do you like the LC shocks in the rear?

I love it just for a cruiser. I will say it's heavy as all get out but still a really fun board.

Right now I'm running 8 wraps with Tundra 5100s. I don't think the Bilsteins are the best but they're also very close to full extension. They're just a little rough for me on bumps. I'm really excited to try these shocks out because I've heard much better reviews.

I just put lx 8 wraps on mine a few weeks back. I am running the Monroe magnum land cruiser shocks and I think has a pretty nice ride for a lifted vehicle. if you want to sell the 8 wraps let me know. my friend is looking for some. he wants to lift his now. thanks, jesse

no. about 3 hours away. used to do a surf trip with my buddies to the outer banks every summer. haven't been that way in about 4 years. always head towards Wrightsville. heading there this weekend. might could meet you. would have to talk to him. Just got back from a last minute road trip with two of my best friends. All in all, tracked about 300 miles over one night. I had to fill up once at the very end of our trip so I was delighted to see I could still get 300 miles out of a tank even with all the added weight. I got off work Friday at 6, picked both of them up, and headed South to Buxton to set up camp for the night. I also played around with my new camera on some night shots, I've got a lot to learn for sure but over all happy with the outcome of the star pictures. We woke up this morning (Saturday) and surfed the second Groin at the Lighthouse in Buxton. It's been years since any of us had been up there as well so we climbed the 257 stairs to the top and got some great views. Waves were really small, waist high but it was only us three out so it made for a good time. My friend that usually takes the water pictures for us brought a log so we all took turns sharing that as well and it made for some pretty decent rides. Also this morning, we drove up to Rodanthe looking for more surf but the tide was too low and shorebreak'y. My friend blew out a fin box on his second wave(luckily he has a board sponsor so it's no big deal), maybe 5 minutes in the water, so we just bodysurfed the shorebreak.

Nice pictures man, I've always enjoyed body surfing. OBX looks crazy from a higher altitude. I've flown down the beach a few times and you get to see just how skinny the islands really are

Thanks man, it was definitely a view to enjoy. I'm sure flying down the beach is crazy cool. I do know just how narrow the islands can be and are and it's kind of scary, especially in storms.

Indeed, I wouldn't stick around during a hurricane. We were talking to a local firefighter on Ocracoke who just sleeps in his boat during storms.

No real updates on the 4Runner. Took a little road trip up to visit the lady friend this past week and brought my new bike. Niner RIP 9 Cabron. Picked it up from the shop I work at and dang, thing's a blast. There were a few trail systems up there and I plan on visiting her a few more times this fall so hopefully I'll get to ride the bike up there a bit more and find some wheeling spots. Also got a new bike rack for the 4Runner, Kuat Sherpa 2.0. Couldn't recommend it more, it's super light and sleek. I've had many types of bikes on it in various sizes and it's so easy to load.
I got an ARB awning on the TacomaWorld (kind-of) Group Buy so that'll be going on soon and I'm hoping to find the time to install my AllPro UCA's.
Anywho, pictures... They're kind of crappy cause I was exhausted and didn't bring my good camera with me on the bike

Just an update. I was having some wobbling problems in the front end at high speeds and when braking. I took of my front wheels spacers to bring in the wheel base a little and that helped solve some of my problems but nothing significant. I took it to Firestone to get it re-aligned and my tires re-balanced and it turns out I had somehow destroyed one of the tires inner sidewalls to where on the inside of the tire is almost shredded. I'm not sure if running low pressure a lot for going on the sand this summer or what. It was bad enough to where I couldn't get the tire balanced with 20+ oz of weight. I got the tires from Discount Tire online and gave them a call and they agreed to send me a new tire if I purchased their tire protection plan. Sure enough, three days later, a new tire showed up. I was very impressed with there service and plan on getting my next set of tires from them. Mounted and balanced just fine.

I'm off of school this coming Monday and Tuesday and I hope to get some stuff done. Hopefully getting my PIAA lights wired in my bumper, installing the 3rd and final skid plate to my full set, and put together and install extended rear swaybar links. Hopefully I can come up with more little tasks to get done.

Thanks man, she's far from done though. I'm a huge fan of the lines on the 4x both with and without hoops. I do remember going through BadLands fliers years ago and searching for you bumper haha.

Hit and miss as per usual! Got out a little over a week ago not expecting much and the conditions were amazing (pic below). Then go out this past weekend when all signs were pointing to good surf and got completely skunked. Nice size, but absolutely zero consistency and mostly giant cloesouts. If you were in THE perfect spot a few times, you could have had some amazing faces, but it was so wonky.

Holy crap that looks like some fun. About a month back, we were supposed to get a 4 day period of about 3-4+ fair to good and it turned out to be 2-3 mush. I was hoping that Hurricane Matthew would have brought us some fun stuff too but it turned out to be a 6-8 foot washing machine everyday. It's predicted to be 3-4ish the rest of the week too but pretty blown out. Hopefully there will be some period of favorable winds to clean it up. Other than that, flat summer per expectation and crossing my fingers for a good winter. Last winter was awesome so we shall see.

In other news, I left my school apartment and headed to my parents to wait out Hurricane Matthew. We got hit a lot harder than expected but no permanent damage. This gave me some time to get some smaller stuff done on the 4Runner as well.
Today I was able to get some extended sway bar links in, something I've been meaning to do for a while but never really had the time to. @Rsimeon showed me a home-brewed way to do it and so far so good.

I was planned on wiring my PIAA lights in using my factory wiring for the fog lights but it turns out that at some point, those wires lost their juice. That set back the wiring of my fogs for another day but hopefully I can get that done sooner rather than later.

Yeah, our summers are pretty flat too. I just bought a new 7' SUP made for small, mushy waves and it is a total game changer. It's like my 6' fish on 'roids. No idea where it gets its speed from, but I'm not complaining! Our winter blew. Usually that's when the NW swells really pick up and all of the spots inside the Strait light up. Most are river mouths, so they act like points. But last winter saw a very few amount of those swells to make them work. I'm headed to a great point in Cali for the first week of Nov and back to Mexico in Feb for two weeks, so if waves aren't here, I'll go chase them down!

Glad to hear the damage wasn't worse and from the sounds of it, that everyone is ok.
