Max Tire Size - Daystar 2.5''/Spidertraxx/18's

I know it's been covered many times and I read many threads with some contradicting info. Just want fresh assurance.

08 4Runner V6 Sport 4WD with 265/65/18's
Just installed Daystar 2.5'' & Spiderstraxx Wheel Spacers.
Already rubbing, but before I start cutting:

What's the largest 18'' tire I can fit if I trim the fender well/mudflap? I don't want rubbing on the frame/UCA's.

It honestly might depend on your suspension and how much weight you generally haul around in your truck. I know I have 265/65R18's and wheels (ultra gauntlets) with -12mm offset and don't rub. I only started rubbing the frame when i had 3 passengers and luggage after an 6 hr drive. During everyday driving and commuting to work, i get no rubbing. And sometimes i load the car with a lot of steel/aluminum for work when we are behind schedule.

Edit: But you shouldn't have to do much trimming, at least i don't think so

I have the 2.5 daystar in the front and 275/65R18's and Spidertrax and I had to do a body mount chop. I still rub on the plastic back side of the fender liner right where the pinch weld for the body is, it kind of protrudes a little bit right there and my tire catches it if I'm turning while the suspension gets compressed. I have to take turning into driveways and parking lots pretty carefully which is getting annoying.

honestly I wouldn't go any bigger than 265/65R18 with the daystar kit. If Duratracs came in that size when I bought them I wouldn't have gone 275.

My only fix now is to get a proper 3" lift.

I don't have 18" rims, but I would not want to go any bigger than my LT275/70r17 with 2011 4Runner Sport rims (on a 2005). They don't rub the frame, but I have aftermarket UCA's. I still had to pull my front liner forward, but I was able to keep the mudflap and didn't have to do any other cutting. Good luck!

i ran 275/70/18 and 285/65/18 both needed mud flap removal and no body mount chop. some people say they do, I did not need it.

Undo screw at bottom of fender liner. Use hand and Push liner forward, replace screw into fender liner (new hole).

I zip tied mine for temp fix that is still working well. Just ran it through the hole and around the bumper support.
