Measurement and angles for those with Custom Bumpers.

My Dad and I are planning to build Custom Bumpers for our Trucks (He owns an 07 X). Anyways, I was wondering if someone had a drawing or a blueprint for a custom bumper I can go off of that contains measurements of each plate, and the angles of the cuts. The plan would be to mock one up with cardboard using a blue print first, then to cut the metal. I would prefer a plate bumper (ARB style) something close looking to the ARB bumpers.

I doubt anyone is just going to give up their hard work so easily. Put the pencil down and get a good supply of cardboard and start building your rough draft.

True, but it isa forum based to help people, so I wouldn't understand if anybody at all is willing to help out to see someone succeed. I don't plan to copy an exact design, as I have some specs I want to do on my own as well.

Would you be willing to send me some pics of your MOUNTING for those bumpers. WADR, I could care less what your bumpers look like, or how they function. I'm not looking to steal your ideas for bumpers or anything like that. I have foamboard cut outs, and ideas for front and rear bumpers, the only thing I seem to be having a bit of an issue with is the bracketry.

Every pic I see of bumpers, you can't see how they're mounted, or where some supports are. That's the one thing that's stopping me from building my bumpers. I want to make sure I have it right, and that it's not going to get ripped off of the truck when I winch or hit a rock.

Yes this is the exact problem I am having. Have yet to find a single picture anywhere containing the mounting system. Any help?

OP, even if i went and gave you detailed measurements and angles on what i built, i doubt you'd be able to replicate until you have some CNC tooling. Even then though, since i used a grinder, i doubt any of my measurements are actually symmetric.

If you check out my bumper build threads im pretty sure i had decent pictures of how i mounted them. There are bolts in the rear for where the hitch mounts that can be used, and then i drilled a hole through the frame horizontally to help hold it in place that way. Up front i had to get more creative.
