I always enjoy viewing other people's pictures of their travel's. So I thought I would share some recent images from a trip I made from SC to CO for 2 weeks. Of course these are 90% 4runner images ENJOY!

Great pics, very jealous about your trip. I've never driven any further west than Little Rock on a 24hour bonsai run to pickup a car for a buddy of mine.

Ok, so looking at the pictures I only see a tent opening on the right side.

Is there another opening on the rear? Otherwise how the hell do you get inside it? Acrobatics?

Looks like it could have been pretty cold in the snow photo. Are you running an electric bed warmer or blanket or anything?

Ha ha... well.... um, not really. I turned off the GPS and read a road atlas; stone age feeling in the automated world we live in. I documented the first 10 hours of the route, then tiredness and unfamiliar territory got the better of me. It was roughly this: South Carolina to Vail, CO - Google Maps but I really didn't stick to it. Went North, South, East and West of it and made it in 4 days. With that said, though once like to be methodical and have routes,distances,times etc... all planned out it is some times really nice to just do the complete opposite, whixh is what I did. The journey back was a different story. A red eye if you will though within reason of course and done in 32 hours which in my case always ends in a speeding ticket ( its the I'm almost home feeling). This was the middle of nowhere in TN at 10:00am clocked doing 83 in a 70. I'm guilty.... but what pissed me off, was the location the officer was scouting from and where he pulled me over. SO...... FLIPPING dangerous, to the degree he crossed the barrier on the passengers side to write me the ticket. I know I was speeding, down a hill in the middle of nowhere in my full to the brim palace on wheels (you know, its hardly a sports car) but really, that was a very poor choice a huge risk to the both of our lives and others. Just youtube officers get's hit writing ticket... happens THE WHOLE TIME.... SEEN IT WITH MY VERY OWN EYES. Rant over

oooo Nikon....yuck! Just kidding! The low light images are indeed shot at f2.8/ISO 400. None of those images have been edited apart from the number plates. The snow shot was a blizzard with the standard flash on the 7d at 16mm which is why there is that large black area on the road, the lens is blocking the light. Its a cool shot, you should see it blown up, tac sharp!

Well, its quite a performance but I manage... Hop, skip and big jump! No the tent had three doors with the back door being the main door which I access using the Gobi ladder. No bed warmer yet.... though -40 down sleeping bag which is very hard to get out of on a cold, snowy day. Something I am going to consider doing as I love winter camping and though its not a necessity it just makes it that much more pleasant! Here are some pictures of it opened up:

I have trouble getting out of my bed in the morning on a normal day, let alone on a cold, snowy day.

You grabbed some pretty nice shots for sure. Love the 1st shot. Is that canon full frame?I use a fixed lens due to laziness and portability - a 23mm APS-C X100 Fujifilm, basically a 35mm when it's all said and done.

When I go snow camping and it gets really cold I just boil some water in my jetboil and pour it into an old nalgene. Toss that in your sleeping back and you'll have hours of extra warmth.

Great photos! Takes me a day and a half to drive from Denver,co to Asheville, nc with an overnight stop, but that is going to boring way.
