Mental Exercise in Futility for Saturday Morning

Caveat: This thread has no purpose.

Background:
-Range Rover has air adjustable suspension that can raise up for 11" of clearance but can be lowered to fit in 72" garage
- Trail (couldn't locate specific specs on TRD) has 71.5" of height but 9.5" of clearance (non-KDSS)

Irrelevant question of the day: How would you proceed to get an additional 1.5" of clearance without exceeding 72" of height?

Someone here a few weeks ago posted that they were doing a GX460 rear airbag swap on their 4Runner. Seems like that may accomplish the same thing.

Put on 35"s (35-32=3, 3/2=1.5, 1.5+9.5=11), and then air down when entering the garage! Added bonus is your alignment doesn't change because you're not raising/lowering the IFS, you just saved yourself 10s of 1000s of $s, and you don't have the maintenance/reliability gremlins of airbag suspensions. Win Win Win

Yeah roof rack could net you ..what 2"? 1.5" lift and 275s get you right at the limit I'd think. Don't know what clearance would be at that point.

Wouldn't removing the roof rack still leave you with the shark fin antenna so your really not getting any extra room right?

Chainsaw for the top of the garage. You can re-mount the garage door, with a bonus of permanently having a means for the cat to get in and out. I'm pretty sure that's not a load-bearing beam.

Range Rover in its native habitat on top of a flatbed tow truck won't fit in a 72" garage.

Next question.

Leave Yota stock and carry 2x4s for when you need a boost to drive over.
Add thrusters...point down to go up, point up to go down...kinda like turboboost for KIT.
