So what are the weight of these?
About 50#s each.
So what are the weight of these?
Thanks for posting that. I hate to kill the buzz on a group buy I'm part of, but do these seriously only have two asymmetrical bolts per connection point? If so, of course they're going to flex up!
Any vouches for whether or not these can be a jack point for a hi lift? Just worried about the strength of these. Looking at OPOR and Shrock, but the one week wait coupled with the Sleek design are pulling me in.
I just asked the same question on the GB thread and the vendor replied...
"Yes the sliders can be used as a single lift point. When lifting from a single point sliders in general can flex upward below the rocker pinch weld on the truck and contact that weld. The top main body of the rail is then in contact the lower rocker distributing the contact point across the lower rocker. When the truck comes off the single point the slider flexes back away from the rocker to its regular position. Of course sliders can be "made to not move at all" but then you lug around a huge weight penalty for little performance gain.
We did change our foot design for the OPOR 5th gen sliders recently with some of this in mind. We increased our mounting feat thickness at the frame by 35%. Its a great balance to still keep the weight down yet decrease possible flex."
this group buy ends tomorrow guys! if you havent already jumped on it!
Where is the group by tread?
Guess in waiting for black friday..hoping there will be a good sale for sliders then.
