Great info here since I have a set of OPOR sliders in the mail right now!

FYI, emailed MT about using the OPOR sliders as a jack point with a high-lift and they said absolutely use them, which gives me a little more confidence after some mixed reviews (read a couple members had flexing or even breakage when using as a jack point). My concern is that I do not have a steel front or rear bumper, so jacking will be from the side I believe...Maybe some high-lift users can give some advice (have been watching videos on youtube) since I have not used one yet.

Good to know about the jack point! I also can now speak from experience, after off-roading over the weekend, that the OPOR sliders can take a serious hit without flinching! I slammed the entire weight of the 4runner on them a couple times on rocks and I don't think they even dented, just the finish got scuffed a little.

Thank you 1traildriver! Maybe old news for some people but that was useful for me, I'm going to be purchasing some sliders for my GX soon and not many available for direct fit, so reading up on people's feedback/input was very helpful.

I did a test run with my hi-lift jack and OPOR sliders in the driveway today and noticed the slider rail moving closer to my door and the bottom of the mounting plate separating from the frame. This happened before even getting a tire off the ground! After putting the truck back on the ground the sliders are not bent in any way. I asked MT if these slider support the weight of the truck before buying and they said yes. It seems like some people have this problem while others don't...weird. Maybe it has to do with the mounting hardware?

No, no. Nothing sheared, nothing broke. But using a hi-lift right in front of the bump out caused a ¼" gap to form near the bottom between the mounting plate and frame leading to the main slider rail nearly coming in contact with the door. The hi-lift wasn't even supporting the full weight of the truck at this point. Everything returned to normal once it was back on the ground, but it was still unsettling enough to make me want to weld/reinforce the brackets prior to heavy trail use.

I have done nothing else to these sliders other than retorque the bolts. they have served me well over many trail runs. In fact, I generally do not even use a floor jack anymore when jacking my truck. the opor sliders have taken all the abuse I have thrown at them, and have never given me reason to suspect they would be anything other than bomb proof.
