Good to know. Yeah I'm definitely in the 'don't want body damage' camp, I guess I mainly use my 4Runner for my other outdoor activities and would now like to dip my foot into offroading for offroading's sake. To gain experience in how to handle the truck in different situations and conditions, starting off with easier stuff.
 
Badlands is one of the best places to go for beginners, and those that don't want to beat the hell out of their truck. Its bug enough that everyone has room, and there are plenty of obstacles to pick and choose from. Its also nice that there are multiple ways around spots, with varying degrees of difficulty.

Redbird does indeed suck after rain...just ask [MENTION=85167]jmildoc[/MENTION] about body damage on the trails...

I did my own wheeling sunday in the snow on my trails at home, but i am wanting to go to the badlands soon, havent been to the bloomington area in about a year, may be about time to go see if it is still even accessible.

I'm more than happy to lead an easier run, gotta get your feet wet somehow. I kept my third gen really clean through a lot of wheeling...my Tacoma is only clean-ish now though :D

Well, let's set something up guys. Sounds like Badlands is the way to go for starters. We could have several groups if the more experienced folks don't want to get bored with noobs like me.
 
Wow haven been on in while, but it is good to see everyone is keeping it alive! I am sorry to any state considered "midwest" that I left out lol. I focused on the the northern half of the midwest when I started this i guess haha.

Also is anyone else bypassing the radiator here in the Midwest? If so what tranny temps are you guys seeing? I bypassed mine installed a scan gauge II and on the highway getting after it even I'm these brisk temps I'm seeing 235???

I bypassed mine and it rarely goes over 180. 235 is alarming, IMO.

Very nice, I love the bike, but sadly it is the roommates. This last winter though we deleted the intake baffle, cat, exhaust valve solenoid, made a 3 to 1 collector and tuned it. Now it is NASTY!

I am torn between finding a daytona like his or the new Ducati Scrambler Enduro. They both are awesome, but there is just something about that Ducati that keeps me coming back to it. I have a year before I graduate so I have a while to decide yet.
