what is with tan becoming so popular now? when i painted mine no one had a tan vehicle. but now all the new Fjs and jeeps are coming in them. my car used to be so original with tan and black but now im starting to see it everywhere.
i would recommend monstaliner its a great product and easy to apply also way cheaper then paint, it just made sense to me. i think color matched bumpers could look cool and would like to see what it looks like since now everyone is doing body a tan ish color and accent it with black bumpers and door handles. now we have 3 4runners that look the same paint wise and i think if you did go the tan route it would be different and cool to color match the bumpers.

Tan and black is pretty good. I would worry if one other person in america has the same color scheme lol.

That is mine. Even with all the mods, the crease dent in the front of the quarter panel gives it away, but this was 38 weeks ago according to the pic. I almost lost it for a second haha
Ahh I know I just got back from football and not sure I want to make the drive solo. I hear it's awesome though

Well it's taken longer than anticipated with life getting in the way, but lift and tire installation is imminent - hopefully within the next two weeks! With the paint damage I've decided to get the car repainted at some point, and I'm going to hold off on the Bushwackers and scooped hood so everything can get painted at once.
SD peeps, I am looking for a hi lift and air tools to make things easier. All for having a lift party as well if anyone is interested. Right now I'm planning to do the work in Ramona where I have good level space and air compressor, but I'm down to do it at someone else's place if it's closer.

Cool I'll keep you posted. As for the hi lift, I'd much rather borrow one for the time being because I only need it to help with the body lift installation. But if no one has one to lend me I may bite the bullet.
Lift is officially en route to San Diego!!!

Thought I would get the same wheel and tire combo for my Supra. Gotta get the fenders rolled and some trimming.

But then Miller came over and told me about his plans for his wheel combo. I was disgusted that he chose to copy me, thus I no longer wanted the wheels. Instead he traded me 16 turtles from the Galapagos Islands, which I needed for my engine swap.
Body lift going on first. 2" to clear 35"s.
Installed.
Time for suspension. Toytec Ultimate kit if I'm not mistaken.
Lunch break.

First off, huge thanks to [MENTION=25058]ChildrenOfBodom[/MENTION] for opening up his garage and tools, as well as a full day of a manual labor. I definitely owe you man and can't wait to dive in deeper. Doors are always open here in San Diego brotha!
Here are some of the pictures. We had a time lapse going but unfortunately the GoPro shut off so we just have some sporadic progress shots, nothing too new here. There is some slight rust on the vehicle but was mostly doable. The only victim was the front bumper bracket bolts which I'm pretty sure had every bolt broken while loosening. So right now I am bumperless until I figure out the best way to drill out the welded bolts and come up with my own. Glad to be back in a more official way. Looking forward to seeing you guys in the coming weeks and months!

So I skipped the 1st pages of this and plan to go read them but good to see you get another 4runner. Your 1st truck let me know I had to go with the wheels I did. Hope you enjoy the west coast life. Its not the Carolina's but the good Lord can only make one place this nice!!
