Good news!
The tie rods I had tack welded are still able to be adjusted for alignment so bumper install is up this weekend. Dropping my ARB brackets off at lunch to be adjusted. I'll start prepping and removing the stock bumper tomorrow evening but probably won't get to the install until Saturday morning then off to alignment. Also grabbing the limb riser parts from Home Depot tomorrow and will make sure to do a full write up this time. So minus the Bushwackers being installed I'll officially be back to the original build.
Does anyone have any cheats for cranking the coilovers with the tires still on? Not sure I'll be able to get them off the ground at my house :/

I'll finish up the bumper tomorrow but thought I'd post progress pictures. Firs things first, am I f*ng idiot or does the ARB hardware bag not contain the right quantities of stuff? I have to figure out how to bolt the sucker up tomorrow but it's been too long since the last install so I can't remember what the process was.

This was the bend in the intake I mentioned a few posts back. Shortening the intake tube by an inch should put things in perfect flow.

I'm about to start working on the bumper again and would love to hear from anyone else who has installed this bumper. After looking at some other write ups on here, some of the brackets I've seen have threading inside so I just position the bumper and bolt in place. My brackets do not have threads and the instructions call for 6 nuts and bolts. The thing is there is almost no way to access the nut side of this because it is in the middle of the bracket.
I will probably realize a mistake I'm making sooner or later, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't lose sleep wondering what I did wrong haha.

The nuts that should be supplied are gold and have 2 spring steel feet that clip into the square holes . Sorry I don't have pics.

Yep maybe I should have actually figured out what a caged nut was before assuming anything. Should have this done in a little while.

Feels good to be done. Bought some 3/8" steel cable for some beefier limb risers this time around. I think it's going to look pretty damn good. Will probably tackle that next weekend. Other than that I just need to install those Bushwackers... then it's back 
Got there quicker than I thought. I'll be looking into the interior stuff now. Starting off with sound deadening.
These TJM lights are pretty deep so I had to make some cut outs in the grille. Going back to smooth things out and put some rubber trim around the cutout.
All done!

Impressive work man.
Will be looking forward to how your interior turns out. Re-doing my interior is on my future mod list but mine won't be anything too fancy, just plan on going all black & sound deadening...so will be looking out for all the tips I can get

looks awesome man.
BTW i know you are not a California native but just FYI if you wanted to ditch the front plate I'm pretty sure LEOs won't care. I have had my ARB on without a front plate since 2010. And another 4+ years without it when i was stock.

Make sure to add an extension / arm on to your rack outwards to mount the limb riser to. Certainly want to try and protect the snorkel!

Thank you! Yeah now starts the interesting stuff for me since I was never able to do it on the last one. So you will see lots of pictures and information I promise.
Haha well I was born here in SD but I was just playing it safe. Eventually I'll have tinted front windows and already a technically illegal intake, so want to minimize the other bugaboos.
I've been waiting for a time to use that word.
On the last build I just had the snorkel head turned around in low brush areas, it kind of assisted the limb risers in taking everything out harms way haha.
Got some better pictures out of the driveway after getting it cleaned up this morning.

I've decided against limb risers for right now. Didn't want to drill into a fresh bumper before being absolutely sure of the parts I wanted to use. I'm going to start looking for a replacement door then hopefully get these Bushwackers on soon.
In other news, I found a local source for the BMW leather! I am in between Imola Red (nappa grain - $6.50/sq. ft.) and Coral Red (dakota grain - $5.50 sq. ft.). I need to find out how much I'll need for the seats, door inserts, armrests and center console lid so I'll be working on that slowly but surely.
When I finally get to ordering the leather I will start breaking down the interior and painting all trim pieces black, installing black carpet and dying the headliner. That alone will probably take at least a week as I am cutting no corners with the trim paint. I want to make sure it holds up as long as the leather around it and I know how to do that.
In regards to the engine, I think I'm over the 2UZ swap and going to look into supercharging with all of the accessories. If I want this thing to end up in the 4Runner hall of fame I want to use as many OE parts as I can, and especially with 120k on it I want to show the 5VZ some love. 7th injector, headers, cat back as well as a regear to either 4.88 or 5.29.
Time frame for all of the above is probably a year honestly. Hopefully the interior can be done within a few months and will piece the engine stuff together after that.
Things are going to slow down for a little bit while I start researching the interior and engine. Finally gives me time to tackle the smaller things like big 3 mod, sound deadening, etc.

For limb risers can you maybe do something that doesn't involve drilling into the bumper? Like wrapping the end of the wire around the bumper and clamping it then? Maybe put some sort of a rubber isolator on the inside so it doesn't rub the paint off on the bumper? Just a thought.
I like the colors of those leathers. I can't really tell a difference between the two from a google search, but I would go with whichever is a little more dark red/brownish in tint, but that's just me. I kinda have a thing for dark reds haha

Yeah last time I had a big u-bolt over the hoop but it messed up the powder coat. I was going to do an eye bolt this time I just couldn't bring myself to make the hole. Looping over would work except I want a quick release system and once you crimp down it's kind of there for good.
Yeah I'll take some pictures of the swatches and throw them up when I get them. I'm leaning towards Coral Red because it's a buck cheaper per sq. ft. but we'll see how it shakes out.
It is, I just meant OE for our generation 4Runners. There is a lot of power still to be had out of the v6 and given the price, labor and expertise needed in swapping the 2UZ it makes the supercharger that much more appealing. Especially since I can add pieces over time and not have to have it down for extended periods. I want to do the interior first so I have a while to contemplate it.
And yeah the Tundra upgrade is definitely on the list I just need to refresh my memory on it in the next few weeks. If I recall correctly I have the option of 231mm or 199mm. Then I think the 231mm are for 17s and the 199s fit on some 16s? If that's right I'll have to figure out a way to do a test fit or find someone running these wheels on theirs with that mod.

If you want to be in the "4Runner hall of fame" you need to build a 4Runner how Toyota should have built it from the factory. With a lift, a snorkel, 35's, high quality leather interior, and a V8 engine mated to a 5 speed. In the end, a V6 is still just a V6.
Regarding the Tundra brake upgrade: You can fit both 231's and 199's on 16" wheels, it just depends on the back spacing of the wheels. 231's fit on 5 stars without modification. I don't know specifically about your wheels.
