MillerPKA Build Thread #2

Still a work in progress but the CBI bumper and swing out are on. Matching spare is being mounted and balanced now and will mount this evening.

I'll cover in more detail later, but I am getting the powder coat ceramic coated this evening for added protection. Really impressive stuff. Updates soon!
Is that a new tire carrier design???? FML...

Build is looking great.
Dunno if you remember but I bought your old CBI spare tire mount probably 6-7 years ago of yotatech. good to see you are still a customer of theirs.

Hey man yeah I do! That was the best I could do at the time, you can imagine how long I've been waiting for the real deal. Glad to see you're still around!

Matching spare is mounted! Fresh ceramic coating on the rear, front arb and snorkel. I'm in love

I'll give a more detailed update soon, but wanted to share some pictures of the bumper and tire carrier and spare installed. So happy with how this came out. Hard to believe, but the exterior is nearly finished. Then the craziness begins.

its perfection

Thank you sir, but lot's to go still. Haven't even touched the interior.

this is how i redid my Stoptech calipers. Great minds think alike!

Those look great! I really dig the color. May go more subtle like what you have when I upgrade the front.

Still in love with this build. The most recent pictures... absolutely beautiful.

Keep it up!

Always appreciated! Keep coming back it's about to get weird.

Those tires look amazing but seems like they get 10mpg based on the size, lol.

Had a great time out near Lake Elsinore to get some media ready for upcoming articles. Also an AWESOME mountain biking trail there if anyone is into that here.

Sliders and skids are finally on. OG members will know those are two loooong awaited mods and they are definitely helping round out the rest of the exterior. Only a few small tweaks away from being done with phase 1. Next is wrapping up engine bay and starting interior. Fun times ahead.

Favorite part of your truck is the 'Merica sticker.

Stole the idea from our space shuttles, sorry NASA

I was expecting pretty bad gas mileage and they delivered. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Hey this is Matt - nice to meet you last night. Can't wait to get out on the trails and see your beast in action

Hey Matt thanks for stopping by! We'll definitely get something going soon - let me know if you need any help in the meantime.

No big truck news at the moment but a lot of cool things in the works.

In the spirit of growing this build and exploring more, Outworld Overland was created this week. This will be a blog-style creative where we do anything from trip reports and cool videos to product reviews, and of course tons of pretty pictures and video. A lot of the time we're using these trucks to accomplish something else - snowboarding, surfing, mountain biking, etc. - and I rarely document that stuff although it's just as cool as the trip there. This gives us an opportunity to document action sports in general, including off road.

Anyways, working on the first piece this weekend so I hope you enjoy it! This will forever be my home base, so I'd love to hear your input once we get rolling.

Welcome

Awesome rig man!

I have the same wheels and wondered if you ever did the Tundra brake upgrade?

Sorry I never responded! The TBU is happening, although I haven't confirmed if the 199 or 231mm calipers will fit with this wheel. Helps that I have 1.25" adapters but need to make sure before pulling the trigger.

Haven't updated here but things are moving slowly but surely. Latest upgrade was the upper rear control arms, can you tell which one was the old?? :violin:

No pictures but I also installed some Toytec remote reservoir rear shocks to help with the weight in the rear. Still need to upgrade the lower arms and some other odds and ends to finish out the back but we're getting there.

All of the armor is on, and the only thing left for the exterior is painting and mounting the Bushwackers, but I need to find a nice replacement door before putting them on.

Next up will be finishing the engine and starting the interior overhaul. Supercharger is already on but will wrap up with the 7th and fuel mods (maybe 5 speed swap during that).

Just ordered fully built front and rear thirds from Nitro - finally going 4.88! Keeping the front open for now but will eventually open it back up to lock. Also have a Red/Yellow Top ready for dual battery setup and working on sourcing the materials for installation. Should have a nice meaty update soon.

Hope everyone is doing great!
