It was this past week/weekend. Most of you know how much I like to keep my ride clean. I decided to try my luck at a car show this past weekend so I spent more time cleaning it than I ever have at one time. It ended up paying off Saturday, taking the Best Detailed Award in the show. Pretty proud moment. It was also my first time using mostly Shine Supply products......awesome stuff.





In the next post I will give a list of the specific products I used and the way I used them.

I decided to switch out my Light Racing UCA's to the Camburg Ball Joint UCA's with the Moog ball joints. Really pleased with the quality of the parts and the ride.

how was the install? i have some icon uca's coming in and havent done the UCA before. any pointers? Also your 4runner looks awesome. Im so jelly of your CBI *drool*

I appreciate that. I had been wanting the rear bumper for yearssss.

The UCA install is actually pretty easy. This video is for different arms but it all is the same as far as the install process. When it comes to separating the ball joint you really can just hit it from the bottom with a hammer to get it lose, unless yours is nasty and seized. It is all pretty easy though

It is complete BS. Photobucket wants $400 a year just so you can link to their site. They can stick for all i care. I am in the process of backing up all my pics and will just have to load them to another site. I will just have to rebuild my build thread. Sucks but i am not paying that

It's an obvious money grab to retro-actively remove features that have been free for a decade. /rant

Finally had a little time to do some little mods.

First one was upgrading my reverse lights. I had seen a couple of people talking about switching to an LED bulb for the reverse and didn't really think it would make a big difference.....I was very wrong. I contacted Whitebeauty and he hooked me up with some 9.5w led's. They have a direct beam shooting directly back, as well as led's on the sides to throw light into the reflectors. I could not be happier with the results. If you need some more light in reverse, contact Whitebeauty. Thanks man!

Do you remember how much the LED reverse lights ended up coming to in price give or take a little? I'm trying to figure out if I want to go brighter bulbs, dual 6" light bars under the bumper, or a single 10-14" on the back of my roof rack. I'm not lifted, but plan on being higher within the next few years if you think that will change anything. Partially doing it for function, partially for looks

New to this forum, and stumbled on to this thread because I've got an 03 that I just bought (my 4th 4runner), and I'm studying up on electrical issues with it.

Momo, did upgrading all of those electrical accessories ever burn out any ECU functions, or cause any behavior that required significant electrical repair with your Yota? I bought mine from a soccer mom, and she didn't want to deal with the electrical issues, so I got a deal, but I'm a little stumped as to some of the stuff I'm seeing, and figured I'd ask because you've obviously made several upgrades on the electrical side.

Also, that final product is just awesome...It'll take me a bit to get there, but I'm pretty happy with my 03 sport so far.

Knock on wood, I haven't had any electrical issues. All the electrical upgrades I have made have a very low draw so I should be fine. Hopefully you can troubleshoot your issues and start modding.
