More Headlight in Fixture Water

There have been lots of posts about water (condensation maybe) getting into the left headlamp housing. Mine is a 2008. I ran some sealer around the fixture as much as I could (cant get to the seam on the right and bottom) and also put some dielectric grease around the socket where the bulb goes in to try to seal it up, no luck. Still getting water in there.

Before I go through the hassle of removing it (I can not get to the bolt behind the wheel well), does anyone know where the air leak is in these that needs to get sealed up.

i had one light with the leak on the fender side of it so it wasnt sealable without removal, its really not that hard to get to that bolt, my advise is to take it out, pop it into oven, then press together real hard to seal it, then if you want/need to, put seal around the whole lens.

I figured that's where it must be. Not really that hard to get to? Maybe with a lift....

no lift needed, didnt mean to make it sound super easy but you can get better access to it by moving the inner fender or removing bumper.

I had this same issue. I took my housing out, popped it in the oven, clamped it together tight with tie-down straps, and then ran clear silicone around the outer edge.

Low and behold I still got a little bit of moisture.

The next day I parked facing the sun, pulled the bulbs out of my headlight, and left it there for a couple hours. Sure enough the moisture dried up and I've been through several storms since and both of my headlight housings are dry as a bone.
