Where do you snake the wires through if you don't want to drill?
Is the headlight assembly not a closed unit???

I think when you pull the covers off, you will see a grommet at the bottom with the OEM harness coming thru it....
Someone correct me if I'm wrong here!
Sounds right from what I read here - and I did see a grommet at the bottom when I looked. However I don't know how you would then substitute the grommet that comes with the kit. In any case, I am going to go with the drill -seems easier that way. Thanks for the link to your mod! Helped a lot to visualize things.
The kits you can buy come with grommets on the wires, the grommets can either: be inserted through the hole you drill, or inserted through the hole already there after you pull out the stock grommet with the wires from the bottom of the housing. From my experience, the TRS kit grommet is about the same size as the stock grommet in the bottom of the housing. I have read that the grommet from the other kit (xtreme led?) is not quite the same size.
But then there is a lot of fishing and fiddling that you would need to do. If you replace the OEM grommet with the kit grommet, you would have to fish the OEM wires back inside the light housing; if you want to use the OEM grommet, you would need to fish the kit wires inside. Either way, trying to reverse them is a PITA.
So I looked at it closely, and I ended up deciding that drilling thru the socket cover is the cleanest, and easiest way for the installation; and actually the easiest way to "reverse" the procedure too. All you need is to buy 2 new cover, and the procedure can be "reversed" in like a few minutes.

Just report him to the mods. It's fine to let some things go as they are funny and harmless but when people go off and start threatening it's time to break out the ban hammer. [MENTION=119516]jicko[/MENTION] sometimes it's best to just ignore these guys man and don't stoop to their level.
