Motor Mount experience/advice NEEDED

Hi All,
I've got the engine out for a complete rebuild. I need new motor mounts now, but am finding this to be difficult. I'm keeping my rig a DD and stock, so I'm not looking for a "heavy duty" mount, I just want OEM really, the way it was designed in the first place.

My local dealer says the passenger side ($115 bucks) is discontinued. The driver side ($150) is available next day.

First off, ouch that's expensive, but may just be reality. So does anyone here know a better source, once that isn't going to lie about OEM pieces?

I don't want to keep using the current 330k mile motor mounts. Assuming they're original.

Thank you for your help.

Shaw

PS- If there's something else I'm not thinking about, please advise too.

$12 to 30 motor mount

allow me to introduce you to Rockauto, 12 to 30 bucks for a mount.

I hate to say it knowing it will kill the local storefronts but when the chain store os 2~3X the mail order cost, and the dealer runs 5~10X, there is just no argument

Its a chunk of rubber bonded to steel and these are pretty straight forward. While I insist on many genuine or at least OEM parts in certain apps (interference timing belts come to mind, and of course lots of minor hard parts in the engine) but for this particular item, I'd be happy to use aftermarket ones. Dont recall hearing these trucks and engines bust a lot of MMs.

Junkyard will possibly have some . If they are not separated cracked or dry looking , chances are those are fine. Been looking a few times lately in the pick & pulls and with many of the 4runners in the bone yard have engine pulled, although less than half left the motor mounts still there, lying on the ground or super easy to pull, those are pretty good odds of a serviceable original for a $fin
