The GF persauded me to get the Autana so that she would have a changing room. It will be nice to have a place to keep stuff dry too or a place for other people to sleep.

Cool deal, I think the benefits of having a nice big annex would be cool. If i ever pull the trigger on one it'll for sure have a sizeable annex. Cant wait to see it mounted and folded out.

Haha you and me both! I'm going to make a temporary roof rack out of 14ga unistrut and then will be taking my time to properly Fab up a lowpro flat rack

Ill be looking forward to the low profile rack, im not crazy about anything available for our trucks. I would like something lower and tighter than anything ive seen for the 3rd gens.

I'm pretty excited too, we just got a water jet at school so I will be able to make some sweet brackets for it. This is kind of what I want to do but possibly longer and have it lower and radiused to match the roof line.

Id like to do something exactly like that! Idk if I want to cover the sun roof though. What i may do is cover it and put a trap door in the mesh like the winston racks.

Haha yeah I'm pretty jacked! Her biggest complaint about camping is not being able to shower and being cold. The tent will help with both. I'm getting a propane camp shower for in the annex and not being on the ground should make it a little warmer.

Well last night was the maden voyage of the Autana on the ForeRunner and I have to say despite the bellow freezing temps we are hooked!!! We got to the campsite at 9:00 PM and got the tent and annex setup in under 15 min in the pitch black. I am really glad we bought the annex.

In other news I don't fit in the garage any more so I will be picking up a thule Tracker system to mount the tent too. That way it can come off quick and go back on really quick.

Any pics of the uni-strut build? I see you didn't go forward past the tent base like the build sheet you sent me. is it stable? What's the total height of your rig with the tent closed up and a cover on it? I'm concerned because where I live we have to take ferries off the coast and anything over 7' is considered overheight and then you have to pay a higher ferry fare. Great thread BTW, I've read it from the start!!:bravo:

Got my Thule Tracker II Rack on this afternoon with the help of a work buddy. We only managed to scratch the sh1t of the roof a little..... Oh well this is still easier than the Unistrut rack I had before.

Did the ISR mod today for sh1ts and giglles. 2.5" exhaust pipe expanded, 1 threaded brass nipple, and a 1 1/2 foot length of vacuum hose. Turned out pretty good just put a little silicone round the nipple so it didn't leak.

Dude your 4runner is sick. I like the color scheme you got going on with the wheels. The lift, and the style and size of the tires all compliment each other to round out the look of the whole truck. And those headlights though! Keep it up man she looks really good.

Thanks I really like where im headed with it too. My headlights i have to say are my favorite they were the second set i had ever built and a lot of work went into them. So its always good to here people like them where in the midwest are you if I may ask?

Thanks Brian! It's been a heck of a ride so far, I'm excited to when It will be "done" and all that will be left is maintenance.

Just dropped $350+ on maintenance stuff... ouch.... We'll see if that tire carrier bumper will be a smart move this summer or not...
