Looks good atv223. Did you use the paint protection film that come with the mudguards? It doesn't appear so in your pics.

I just received my Husky mudguards and thinking about skipping the protection film - especially since the template is not cut at all for the rear film. If I use it I'll have to custom cut the film myself.
 
For my Husky mudguards, I didnt think the paint protection was cut either since it looked like only a very small portion was perforated, but as I pulled it out, it turns out I just couldnt see the cutout line.

I'm going to return my window visors - after installing them my windows won't automatically close. I guess theres some sensor in the windows that when you close the window, it will kick it back open if it senses something in the track.

Yes, I used the paint protection film. Nice little addition to the kit, but I hate putting stuff on like that. The end result turned out well, you really have to look at it to see it there and most of is is covered by the mudguard. I like the idea of it, because if I decide at some point to take off the mudguards, I feel pretty confident there won't be any paint damage under them. Good luck with your install. If you don't have to deal with the running boards like it did, it's a simple job.

Yes. The only thing that perhaps could happen over time is that the plastic inserts provided that you screw into could wear a bit (if you are constantly putting the screws in and out). So if for some reason you want/need to frequently put it on and off, you might need some spares. Just order it; it is as easy as can be, you make no holes in your metal, it looks killer, and it is very rigid.

You will be thrilled. Looking at the other post of the OEM one with all the parts... this is much simpler. If you open your hood you will see square shaped cutouts along the edge. The AVS has square shaped plastic pieces that snap into them (6 if I recall). The centers of the plastic pieces have a hole to receive a phillips screw. I guess the only way you could screw it up would be by severely over-tightening, which could strip the plastic insert where the screw holds. You're going to love it, take a picture after your 5 minute install!

Sorry I did not snap pics of the install. It came with (4) 1/4" diameter plastic bumpers that stick on the hood. The piece is so rigid, I can't see any way it will ever bend back and hit the paint. If seen in section, it really stays away from the paint on the top and front of the hood.
 
Just an update for anyone who cares, I just checked eith EGR, Lund and Weathertech, no inchannel ventshades available for the 2010 4runner, let alone the 2011. Seems there is not enough "official interest" to get them to make the product. Those who are interested in getting them, I encourage you to write, e-mail, call or whatever to show enough interest so they will make the product NOW! Be safe.

I agree that it looks slick on a black Runner. I am not sure how I feel about the look on other colors. I may have to order one, see how it looks installed, and paint it Blizzard Pearl if I dont like it...

My feelings exactly. I'm hoping to find a clear one that can be color matched to my truck.
 
How hard is it to clean and/or wax the part of the hood that is under the bug deflector? Does water and debris get trapped in there after the vehicle sits (under a tree in the fall)?

Its pretty easy, theirs enough room to get your hands under their.
