My solution to the major paint damage my truck incurred by having tires pushed outside the wheel wells.
After looking around for mud flaps I found 24x30 inch flaps at Murdoch's Ranch and Home Supple for $10 a piece. Only need one.
Measure to find the center line.
Draw line and cut with Stanley knife.
Figure out where you want it to hang. Use factory screw holes and mark the top screw. Drill a small pilot hole.
Thread in top screw and get the flap into place.
I used these screws from O'reillys Auto shop. They are longer than stock and you'll need a longer screw when using a thick flap and a washer. Longer screws will get you more bite. Stock screws next to new screws.
Once the flap is hanging, mark the other screw holes and drill them out.
Insert screws and washers and mount the flap in the wheel well. It may take some time to get a good fit. Keep working and drilling until to get the desired coverage.
Now that you have the correct screw hole distances, remove the flap and put it on top of the other flap and drill through for the same fit on the other side. Make sure to think about which edge of the flap you want facing out (factory edge).
Get it ready for trimming. I measured about three inches from each hole and then rounded the line under the truck. Draw up your lines and cut.
Take the discarded piece and use it as a template for the other side. MAKE SURE YOU CUT OUT THE CORRECT SIDE!!!
