Once again I am sorry for the delay, Grand-dad had gone to the hospital on my B-day (saturday) and I had to leave work early and didn't get the PDFs I promised. But here they are!

Thanks BWI. Looks like I will be taking a shot at troubleshooting this myself next week. Am I correct in assuming that the entire manifold needs to come out, not just the upper portion?

Also, since I will be digging into this, what should I replace/work on while I have the intake manifold off. I figure clean TB and new gasket, new vacuum lines, maybe injector o-rings, not really sure what else I will have easy access to.

To answer your question, yes you need to remove both the upper and lower intake plenum to access the pumps. BTW did you try Testing the resistance? I think the .PDF's I posted have a resistance value to check to verify that the pump is bad.

As for what to replace? There shouldn't be too many vaccuum lines since almost everything on these cars these days is electronic. If any look cracked or rubbed up I'd say go ahead and replace them, otherwise I wouldn't worry about it... its not a 80's car that uses vaccuum for everything.

Injector O-Rings probably wouldn't hurt if you want to spend the money on, again, I'd look them over to see if they need to be replaced. Then again it won't hurt anything but your wallet and some time so its up to you.

I'll try and see if I can find you some step-by step instructions on dissasembly... I wish we had a hosted website for .PDF of the 4Runner manuals... we have something similar on the RX7Club.com website and its so useful...

No I didn't think about checking the resistance or voltage prior to removing the intake. I guess I will give that a try first this weekend. I do have the Chilton's manual, and it does an ok job of going through the intake removal, but if you happen to have something better it would be greatly appreciated. I don't mind fixing or replacing cheaper stuff while I am there if it could save me from having to do this again! I just assumed that the o-rings would be cheap, same with hard to reach hoses, ect. Thank you so much for the help!!!
