Welcome to the forum!

So are you looking for something that will protect your vehicle from large game? If that is the case then a grill guard will not do anything for you. You will need to replace your bumper with something that is directly mounted to the frame and the only two companies that are mass producing these bumpers for the 5th gen at this moment are ARB and Shrockworks and both are stout pieces.

my grille guard bolts to the frame :rockthrow::hiding:

if you plan on going head to head with a moose a shrockworks or arb would probably be better.

you'll need heavier suspension up front though to support the weight.

I don't think there is a grill guard capable to save your truck from moose. This thing is higher than your truck : )

Yes, sorry your grill guard mounts directly to the frame but takes a little detour on the way over therefor giving up some rigidity which would make a plated steel bumper much more suitable for moose ramming. How's that?:D

excellent, thank you for making the correction :moon::lmao:

in all seriousness, the only grille guard i've seen take a deer full on and survive was a ranch hand.
