at the time i placed the deposit they didnt have a set price but i'd read online that pricing would be similar to what the '09 costs. that said, the base price would be around the 35k mark.
i ordered a trail edition so i figured it'd probably jump up to 40k.
i placed my deposit in august at openroad toyota in richmond.
my expected delivary date was late november to mid december is what the guy told me.
national post said that its expected to be available for sale mid december, which coincides with what the dealer told me.
the cars are apparently here, as another poster has mentioned, its just a matter of them being distributed for sale and the actual launch.

Anyways, here is what's sitting at Silvercity as of yesterday. There was quite a few of them, mostly limited but I could not get a picture of them since they were in the back of the lot.

Whoops! Guess we've got a slightly different colour preference as I think we have out down a deposit for a Silver Trail. Can't wait to see it close up... in my driveway that is.:frog:
Nothing yet, I was wondering what allotment you are getting?
When we put down the deposit pack in Sept. The dealer said the first allotment of 4-5 due in Nov. were sold and we would be in the 2nd allotment in Dec. Of course no one was received any. So I wonder if they are just going to ship a larger allotment to dealers in mid to late Dec?
Do new cars also come into a different port than the one by Silvercity? Because I only saw about 8 or so sitting in the lot, that can't possibly be enough for the Vancouver and Richmond dealers?
I believe they all come from that port. Most new cars are in short supply to start. Remember the Venza? They came out in like January or something and it's only now that they are in good supply. When they first came out, all you could get were FWD ones as all the AWD ones were spoken for.

Toyota has yet to update their Canadian website and no release date has been set (as far as I know). However, I have started seen commercials on T.V for the new 4 runner. Any idea when it's officially for sale to the public? No dealers seem to have demos and all I've heard of regarding pricing is that it will start at around 36,800 for the "Base".

Third row seat is only available as an option on the limited package.

yep, saw it this morning. thanks for the heads up.
Very interesting to see the differences between the Canadian and US packaging. For example, the only interior color on the Limited is the Tan/Black combination (no all black). SR5s have black (unpainted) fender flares. Also, all models look like they come with running boards.
