drove by open road richmond today as well as the docks near silvercity. didnt see anything there. i'll keep you guys posted.
 
no clue. all i know is that the trail edition in canada doesnt have a mast antenna and has a roof mounted fin antenna instead :hiding:

Really? I think they all have mast antenna, but the ones with Sirius radio prewire has the fin antenna as well. All the pictures I've seen don't show the mast antenna but you can still see the base of the antenna if they are showing the passenger side of the vehicle.

Also, it's really complicated how they list the 4Runner's in the feature's section. Why can't they just have the SR5 as a trim and the upgrade package stuff shown optional and then have the Trail as a trim and the Limited as a trim with the upgrade stuff for the DVD shown as options for the Limited. Right now, there is only one model which is SR5 V6 and they have the upgrade package option, trail edition option, and the Limited edition option, but they aren't listed as separate trims so when you are trying to compare what they come with, you can't. You'll have to just read each package on another tab.

i think in one of the sections on the website it said the mast antenna is replaced by a fin antenna on the trail. i may be wrong though.
 
It looks like the SR5 and limited get optitron gauges but not the limited. The site is not very clear as which version has what. I don't understand why the options are different from the US. You would think it would be more expensive for Toyota to make region specific models.

I was looking forward to a Trail with the nav package but I guess that won't happen. The base radio looks like a pain to replace.

I would probably lean towards the SR5 with the upgrade package, the trail edition is too much unnecessary off road gadgets for most Vancouverites.

the second link you posted regarding the sr5 upgrade is just wrong...

he says msrp at: $43,170.00
when toyota website says: $41,550

also lists the trails msrp at: $45660
when the actual msrp on the toyota website is: $44,040

that dont seem right to me.

Maybe Freight and PDI? Or maybe the dealer is just ripping people off?

figured it out.

freight and delivery = 1490.00
battery levey = 5.00
air conditioning tax = 100.00
tire levy = 25.00

1620.

add that to the toyota websites msrps and it adds up to what he lists.

still he should have posted that it is the cost plus fees.
 
Yeah, it would have been smarter for him to indicate that that was the price inclusive of all fees except licensing and tax.

i was there yesterday and my dad went today and didnt see anything. although i think he just drove by and didnt actually go in.

looks like i got something to do tommorow. :D
 
They're here! Just drove by a Toyota dealer in London Ont and saw 2 new Runners on the lot. Didn't have time to stop but will tomorrow for sure:jump:. Quick passing but they both looked like Limiteds.

If I remember correctly, you are on the first allotment, correct? Because I'm on the 2nd and my dealer said ours will be here on the 23rd. So you should see yours pretty soon. That or they decided to bunch them all together into one allotment. If so, i'll see you at the dealership on the 23rd lol.

not 100% sure if i was on the first allotment. i had placed my deposit back in august and at the time one of the managers at the dealership told me that there were 1 or 2 other people who had done so before me.


so lets just hope that i'm on the first or second alotment. :zoom:
 
got screwed at open road so i got my deposit back and went somewhere else. ordered the same mag grey trail edition at another dealership. now i have to wait until jan 20th.
