My Kid Wants My Stereo! What do I replace it with?

I want to get a double din with app radio (iPhone interface) but they all seem to have a dvd/cd included. I don't want and don't need a DVD player.

Oh ok. I'll try to get one today for you. Isn't a wireless setup so i had to run wires from front to back, and i hooked it up to the amp/power antenna hot so it is on all the time instead of just reverse. The whole kit was under $40 off ebay and works really nice. Didn't know where else to put it, so i just used a little double stick tape and stuck it down there lol

We're there any in stock when you ordered it?

It says that they'll have more in stock on the 15th. AND it ships with Prime, so you definitely should have gotten it already.

It was in stock when I ordered it. I think 4 left. Arrival date was the 12th - the 18th, so I'm still in the window of arriving. But tracking says it hasn't shipped yet so it wouldn't get here anytime before the 16th due to coming up on the weekend.

Any update on this? Have you received the Pumpkin Stereo yet and better yet, does it fit? I have been looking at these for awhile now and many or them are not standard double din sizes.

Ok, I've had the Stereo installed for a few weeks now and I really like it. I'm spoiled due to my last one having a remote and I would just keep it on my leg to control everything. I thought this one had one, but it didn't. I see a IR window so maybe it can have one added. But it also looks like they may use the same stereo housing for several models so... who knows.

The side brackets mounted perfect and stereo fit great into the truck. The trim had to be trimmed just a small bit to fit the top and bottom of the stereo. But I held off and the trim could be "forced" on. One thing to note, and it's not the stereos fault, is our stereo location is very low in respect to our line of sight. I wasn't able to see the very top of the screen (where the notifications are located). So I straightened out the tabs on the side brackets and relocated them slightly. Remounted and now it's tilted upward a bit and it's much better. My trim has been cut \ modified a few times so I can't tell you how much I had to trim off to make it all fit, but it's not that bad (in the pic, the trim was cut on the left and right due to an old stereo, not for this one). I don't think the filler adaptor plates would work to fill the space due to the tilting of the stereo. I'll work on that later.

Due to the type of stereo, boot up takes about 30 seconds. I got used to it pretty quick. Bluetooth works great connecting with different devices. Connection to my phone and taking phone calls over the stereo are clean and clear.

Volume is good and my speakers are all stock. It still sounds great.

Few issues worth noting:
Installed Torque Pro on it to test it. It kept saying blue tooth connection wasn't established and then it would connect (within the app). After several seconds it would loose connection (even though the stereo says it was connected).

In the Car Ultra App, it had a much poorer voice for direction \ location compared to my Samsung Tablet. I live on the street, Kaknu Way (pronounced Kak-New Way). The Tablet pronounced it fine. The stereo slaughtered it.

I found it a bit hard to insert the SD card in the slot. But once it was it, it played the music flawlessly.

Connecting and playing music from my phone was good as well.

Overall, I'm really happy with it. Tons of cables and options. I just wish it had a remote. That's my only issue. So if there's another one out there with one, I would get it.

I still have other apps that I want to install and test, but for the price and options, I think this had great potential. As I learn more, I'll keep this updated.

I've used a Pioneer headunit that also delays booting and it drives me crazy, I took it out and gave it to my wife. She doesn't mind so everything is cool. I'm going to sell her car so I'm glad you mentioned the delay, because personally I would go insane but for her it will be fine. I'm giving her my 4runner and getting another(not ever not going to have one).

I use my tablet exclusively because the music is on immediately, and the apps work as intended. But bluetooth to the OBD is clumsy too. I wanted to track actual mileage and time, but since I stop and start often, I was losing too much actual movement, probably the apps fault. But I gave up.
