my new project. "blue"

i bought this car on craigslist about a month ago for 400 bucks from a kid that had no idea what he had. score for me major loss for him. i knew it had a rod knock so i decided to try and baby it home and if it seized go rent a trailer. well sure enough about 10 miles down the road the knock got pretty bad. so pulled over went and got a trailer and brought it home. started it up to roast the tires and kill the motor and it just said knock knock slam! i also have another 79' 242GT with the same motor swap mustang t-5 trans full suspension eaton g80 diff and so much more. problem is the body on it is so bad its been dubbed the rattlesnake. so plan is now to strip blue down clean everything up paint it and make it fun.

so far sound deadening has been removed engine bay is now OD green and I'm still deciding on body color. I'm leaning towards nutmeg

That's a pretty cool project, nice that it's a turbo & manual, too bad it's not a wagon.

The wagon will be next. But the 242 is a kinda rare car. And it's being a GT makes it a bit more special
